Urban Bush Women, the Black women-led theatrical dance company founded by Jawole Willa Jo Zollar, returns to Jacob's Pillow for the first time in seven years. Set in a fictional jazz club, this dance-driven musical tells a love story of two people making their way during the Great Migration through song, dance, and storytelling. The work features an original jazz score by Craig Harris, performed live by seven musicians, depicting what happens when dreams encounter the realities of American life in the 1940s and 1950s.
