Circa Contemporary Circus, under the visionary leadership of Yaron Lifschitz, presents Wolf, an acrobatic, high-intensity production making its U.S. premiere. For director Lifschitz, the wolf is a symbol of untameable selves: liberating, anarchic, and savage. A cast of ten performers clad in form-hugging costumes move to primal rhythms, grasping, tearing, climbing, leaping, and balancing with fierce abandon. In two contrasting acts, the wolves evolve from disruptive forces of chaos into a ferocious pack whose intense choreographies overflow with raw energy and astounding physicality.
