Synopsis: In the Lammermoor hills of Scotland, a grief-stricken Lucia is entrapped in a blood feud between her lover Edgardo's family and her own. Believing her forbidden love treacherous, Lucia's brother Lord Enrico of Ashton tricks her into instead marrying Arturo, to elevate the Ashton house's status. Edgardo arrives one moment too late, discovering Lucia married to another man, and in a fit of dismay denounces her. She becomes emotionally overwhelmed, murdering her new husband and setting into motion a tragic denouement.

About Us: Founded in 2023, Pico Opera is a community-based opera company performing intimate productions of bel canto masterworks in the Boston/Cambridge area. We are excited to share this beautiful music with you, up close and personal!
