A free event celebrating Latino Heritage Month with Afro-Latin music, dance, theater, and performance. The afternoon features Puerto Rican bomba and plena by Jorge Arce and Raíz de Plena, salsa from Costa Rican artist Manolo Mairena, dance by Salsa y Control, and Brazilian traditions from Samba Viva. The program culminates with One Night in Alosha, an immersive experience by Dunamis fusing music, theater, dance, fantasy, and Afrofuturism, inspired by the podcast My Blood The Ink. Directed by Mica Rose, the piece transports audiences to Alosha, an imagined city celebrating Afro-Latino heritage.
