Doug Varone and Dancers returns to Jacob's Pillow to present a program in celebration of the company's 40th anniversary. Founded by choreographer Doug Varone, the New York City-based company has earned international recognition for its deeply human work, performing in more than 125 cities across the United States and internationally. Varone and his collaborators have collectively received 11 Bessie Awards, and the company is known for dances that are both kinetically thrilling and emotionally resonant, spanning concert dance, opera, theater, film, and multidisciplinary performance.
