Marisa Tomei and More Star in THE ROSE TATTOO, Beginning Tonight at Williamstown Theatre Festival

Barbara Rosenblat will be appearing as Assunta in the Williamstown Theatre Festival's new production of Pulitzer Prize-winner Tennessee Williams' intoxicating comedy THE ROSE TATTOO (June 28-July 17).   Obie Award-winner Trip Cullman directs the play, which won the Tony Award for Best Play in 1951.  In addition to Marisa Tomei who stars as the grieving widow Serafina and Christopher Abbott as the hot-blooded trucker Alvaro, Rosenblat will be joining her 'Orange Is the New Black' costar Constance Shulman.  Rosenblat received international recognition for her portrayal of cancer-stricken inmate Miss Rosa, while Shulman plays Yoga Jones on that popular Netflix program.

?Vanessa Williams, the Grammy, Emmy, and Tony Award nominated superstar, will make her Martha's Vineyard debut at The Performing Arts Center on Saturday, July 9 at 8:00 PM, and will kick-off Bear Week in Provincetown at Town Hall on Monday, July 11 at 8:30 PM. SHOW BOAT inaugurates a partnership between Fiddlehead Theatre and Citi Performing Arts Center Shubert Theatre. The lavish, spectacular production is co-directed by Meg Fofonoff and Stacey Stephens, features a 27-piece live orchestra, and a cast of 50 triple-threat performers. The costumes by Stephens are to die for and the musical numbers are triumphant. If only it had a little more heart.

ALS.net announced today that its 14th annual Tri-State Trek charity cycling event will take place between Today, June 24 and Sunday, June 26. The Tri-State Trek is a three-day, 270-mile bicycle ride from Boston, MA to Greenwich, CT with all proceeds benefiting ALS.net and the research it funds directly at the ALS Therapy Development Institute in Cambridge, MA. Last year, the Tri-State Trek had more than 250 participants and raised over $800,000 for ALS research.
