Not surprising...but did the old thread get poofed or did you not look for it?

I'm sure they are smart enough to realize that business will be better after 4th of July and through the summer.
I prefer a long notice to the uber short ones of late. I would have loved to have caught August one last time, but couldn't manage to with the 2 week notice of the closing.

I saw the show last night for the first time last night, and loved it. Sad to see it go but what a great run. Definitely need to see it one more time before it closes.

It also gives people the opportunity to make travel arrangements if they live outside the tri-state area and want to attend closing night or see it one last time.

We must have different Gods. My God said "do to others what you would have them do to you". Your God seems to have said "My Way or the Highway".
This show lasted way beyond what anyone would've dreamed of. In the midst of this bad news, there is also the good news that this show will continue to have a life after Broadway with the national tour that kicks off this fall.

Do you think Ann Harada will return to 9 to 5 after Ave. Q closes?
That would depend on her contract I would think.

It is sad. Is it really going to have run longer than the Producers? Wow. I wish I could have seen this. I was very sad. Though, I kinda was prepared because of the previous posts about it's potential closing. It's really weird because I got on playbill as I was listening to an interview with John Tarttaglia on musicaltalk, a podcast. They talked about Avenue Q, and I was very sad to see the announcement. I'm glad, however, that they didn't make the headline anything cheeky, like, "It Sucks to be Them" or "Avenue Q was Only 'For Now'".
I still haven't seen this. It is my goal to see this over the summer.
I'm a professional. Whenever something goes wrong on stage, I know how to handle it so no one ever remembers. I flash my %#$&.

I still have a few slots open on my August trip...I might need to take this in again.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
Not bad for a musical pundits and other various douchebags thought was too Off-Broadway for Broadway.
"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.”
