According to TMZ Bea Arthur passed away this morning. Wow!
God Bless and what a blessing it was to have experienced such a wonderful talent.

Can't believe it! It's so sudden... I always laughed at the way she spoke in Golden Girls. she'd always make me laugh.

Sad news. I remember her vividly from Maude (what a ground-breaking show) and Golden Girls, but she also had a good Broadway career.
I've got the CD of her show "Bea Arthur on Broadway - Just Between Friends" where she recounts her career, tells amusing stories, and sings some (mostly) fun songs. It's a delight.

Very sad to hear.
But I am glad to know that she is no longer suffering. She left a lot of GREAT work behind, left her mark on society and acting.
She will be missed.
To all that do not have it, I reccommend that you buy her One Woman show CD Bea Arthur: Just Between Friends.
It is great and you will feel like she is there with you.

So incredibly sad and shocking, despite the fact that she was 86 (would have turned 87 next month). What an amazing talent. Her comedic timing was impeccable. We are losing our Golden Girls... and it's heartbreaking.
