I actually wasn't able to watch the video until earlier tonight, but I loved how they staged some of that. My first thought was, "Wow, Tony's not a very good signer," but then I realized how well that worked with the character.
Love it. Although I think if Deaf West did WSS too closely on the heels of Big River they'd be seen as a company that only did musicals involving cultural differences (not to say that's not a completely valid and gorgeous point). But I also guess that's moot...seeing as they're doing Pippin next anyway. :)

I saw a high school production of WSS using deaf and hearing actors about 5 years ago. Though this production looks like it's a bit more successful than the one I witnessed.
What a fantastic idea! I agree -- this is something that should definitely been seen by a wider audience.
