The real question is...will it be Groff or Hanke? My vote is for Groff.

I think I like this choice of a venue. But gee: Don't let the door hit you in the a** TOTC!

Can't wait to hear about the official casting!

I'm pretty sure Caren Lyn Manuel is touring with RENT, and Karen Olivo is going to be in West Side Story- so they need a new Sheila.

Am the ONLY one backing Hanke for this?
Dude needs something solid for once!

I would LOVE to see Hanke take over the role on Broadway! I didn't see Groff in the park, I saw Hanke and thought he was incredible.

Who is Caren Lyn Manuel going to be on the RENT tour? I thought they cast Nicholette Hart as Maureen?

My vote is for Chris Hanke. He's one of those great performers who always gets stuck in the crappiest shows.

It will be Groff, remember when the move was first announced?
They were waiting for him.

Having seen both of them, I vote for Hanke, but I'm fairly sure it'll be Groff.

Caren is probably going on the Rent tour as Mrs. Cohen and the u/s for Maureen and Mimi.

This is not the production that should transfer. Plain and simple. The script is fine, I'll grant that, but this is not the production that should play the Hirschfeld, plain and simple. Michael Butler's production from California, while not without its flaws, was much more current, relevant, and - frankly - moving than the terrible Park production I saw.

Wasn't HAIR supposed to be in the Schubert? I wonder what will be there now....

"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."
