I just read on Wikipedia.com and on the WICKED Cast List Page for the Broadway Production, it said that Shoshana is to replace Kerry Ellis as Elphaba on September 21st 2008. Could anyone clarify this as to see if it's true or not?
Hasn't she said that she has no interest in being back on Broadway anyway?

I chose, and my world was shaken- So what? The choice may have been mistaken,
The choosing was not...

"And when Idina Menzel is singing, I'm always slightly worried that her teeth are going to jump out of her mouth and chase me." - Schmerg_the_Impaler
I see what you mean. So possibly a hoax as some the info on Wikipedia usually is because otherwise it would have been announced on the other theatre sites by now. Thank you.
Blaxx - With regards to your question, I would use unlimited Question Marks on Idina Menzel as I am a huge fan of hers and eager to know what she plans next in the future.
Ellis is to remain with the Broadway production until the end of November, before going back to the London production in December. So, Wikipedia even has their dates wrong. But yeah, never trust Wikipedia.
I doubt she would come back to Wicked. She does want to finish up her cd though. I would love to see her in Catch Me If You Can. Her "Fly, Fly Away" is amazing.

From what I have seen and heard of Shoshana, I wasn't crazy about her as Elphaba. But she has a killer voice and I would like to hear her CD. I didn't like her "version" of Defying Gravity as performed in the show. But her version just as a stand alone performance I would buy in a heartbeat.
She doesn't see a return to Broadway anywhere in her near future. She said that she's not saying she is done with Broadway completely, but now its time for her to take her career to the next level with her album.

One can only hope.
"Some people can thrive and bloom living life in a living room, that's perfect for some people of one hundred and five. But I at least gotta try, when I think of all the sights that I gotta see, all the places I gotta play, all the things that I gotta be at"
She said to the press during Wicked that it would be her last Broadway show UNLESS she was cast as Fanny in Funny Girl (Never going to happen in a million years, ego trip). Now at this point she had a record deal, for a label we've never heard of, and well, we see how well her music career is going...
She should take the role, though, she's not exactly going blowing up the charts. I don't think she's interested in anything that doesn't allow her to be center of attention. Someone asked her the best part of being in Wicked and she replied "The limo." Real humble, right?

Fanny Brice is the dream role she knows she'll never be cast as. She was just saying that she's done with Broadway for the time being unless something really special comes along

She cant go blowing up any charts, because her CD hasn't even come out yet. So what if she wants to be famous as a solo artist...does that make her a bad person for some reason? As for the limo comment...she's just a smartass. Updated On: 4/7/08 at 11:13 PM
Please...no. Even if Shoshana were to come back to Broadway, I highly doubt it would be in Wicked, considering the things she has said about her time in that show.
I went to Shoshana's show at Joe's Pub and while her music is VERY pop/r&b it is amazing, seriously, just buy it. And Becoz I Knew You.... what things did Shoshana say? I'm honestly curious, I used to think I knew how she felt about it BUT it turned out I was wrong, sooo, yeah.
