Name Showtunes (specific songs from shows) that are CATCHY!

"My Junk" - SPRING AWAKENING

"Winning a Tony this year is like winning Best Attendance in third grade: no one will care but the winner and their mom."
-Kad

"I have also met him in person, and I find him to be quite funny actually. Arrogant and often misinformed, but still funny."

I don't think anything from SA is "catchy".

Lots of Jerry Herman's stuff is catchy. Hello, Dolly, Mame, The Best of Times is Now.

As neutral as I am on the show, once I hear "Omigod You Guys!" that dang song is stuck in my head for DAYS. I swear they put subliminal messages to like it in there.

All the songs from Will Rogers' Follies
All the songs from Chicago

I think Cy Coleman and Kander & Ebb, along with Jerry Herman, could be considered "catchy" writers for the most part.

Art has a double face, of expression and illusion.

As much as I dislike THE WEDDING SINGER (I don't even own the cast recording), once I hear "It's Your Wedding Day," it's darn hard to get out of my head.

Then I think of the choreography that went along with it, and I feel the urge to hurl.

anything by Cole Porter
"Happy Talk" from South Pacific, really anything by R&H
"The Ballad of Sweeney Todd"
the scores of Phantom and Les Miz, since they're so repetitive

I actually disagree about OMIGOD YOU GUYS. Other than the phrase "Omigod, Omigod you guys", there's nothing else catchy.

Any of the classics, I'd say...what's more catchy than "Oklahoma!" or "There's No Business Like Show Business"?

I've tried many a time to get "Welcome To The 60's" out of my head after randomly hearing it, but it's one of the catchiest I've ever encountered.

"Thoroughly Modern Millie" is also up there on my list, along with "Omigod You Guys", "We Are The Altar Boyz", "One," and "Two Lost Souls." (LB, AB, ACL, DY)

I agree with much of what has been mentioned, but now this thread is putting my brain on continuous shuffle!

Almost the entire score of In Trousers. For as much as that show is never performed and has no coherent plot, the music is so damn catchy!

Agreed, artscallion. The entire score of Chicago is filled with catchy lyrics.

"Let's all stroe together... Like the Princeton Crew" Ah, one of my favorites.

"I mean, sitting side by side with another man watching Patti LuPone play Rose in GYPSY on Broadway is essentially the equivalent of having hardcore sex." -Wanna Be A Foster. "Say 'Goody.' Say 'Bubbi.'" ... "That's it. Exactly as if it were 'Goody.' Now I know you're gonna sing 'Goody' this time, but nevertheless..."

Forgot to mention Prologue: Ragtime.

Oh, and this is kinda off topic, not to mention a really bad song, but "Bop to the Top" from High School Musical was stuck in my head for about a week.
