In the bathroom of my local movie theater tonight (I saw Transformers....Julie White was great; someone explain the plot, please), "No Good Deed" was pumped over the speakers.
WICKED and it's cast recording are properties of Universal Studios. Universal Studios makes movies. Movie theaters play music the studios send them to promote their films, products, etc. WICKED is a product of Universal Studios.
I've never heard No Good Deed in my movie theater, but they have played both For Good and Defying Gravity in the theater before the trailers and movie starts when they are showing all those ads on the screen and movie trivia.

I had "Defying Gravity" play in the previews of Pirates of the Caribbean 3. It was one of the weirdest things ever, simply because I don't think anyone else in that whole theatre even knew what "Wicked" is except the people I was with.
But yeah, "No Good Deed" is fitting for a bathroom moment. :)

When I first saw the thread title I first thought it was about the bathrooms in the Gershwin, like the OP was going to ask if they were nice or not. Wow, I'm wierd.
I thought this was going to be about the woman who is in the womens' restroom in the Gershwin, encouraging everyone through applause and inspirational words, such as, "Good job, ladies! You did it!" as people are exiting the restroom stalls. Bizarre.

I have no idea if she's there all the time, but she was there on the Sunday matinee I saw the show not that long ago. It was surreal.

Whenever I go to pacific theaters, I always hear broadway showtunes. Ive heard "Great Big Stuff" and "Hear I AM" from DRS. I've heard "For Good" "the wizard and I" and "defying gravity" from wicked. I heard "Once Upon A time" from brooklyn, and just yesterday when I went and saw ratatouille, I heard "So MUch Better" from Legally Blonde. However I was disappointed because it was the Demo version, and not the OBCR, which i found weird.
Yes, the most random showtune I've heard while peeing at a movie theatre was "Here I Am."
"Some people can thrive and bloom living life in a living room, that's perfect for some people of one hundred and five. But I at least gotta try, when I think of all the sights that I gotta see, all the places I gotta play, all the things that I gotta be at"
I used to work in a movie theatre, and cleaning up after people who would leave such treats as used diapers was NOT more enjoyable when it was to the sounds of "Knights of the Round Table," "September," or "For Good."
"It's not for sissies, contrary to popular belief." - Tommy Tune, on musical theatre.
haha when I saw this thread I thought instantly of the last time I saw Wicked in Chicago. I make a habit of not going to the bathroom during intermission, b/c it's just insane, but I really had to pee, so I went. In the bathroom there were ushers directing people to open stalls and getting people to hurry by shouting "Rush and Flush, ladies, Rush and Flush."
Gee... and I thought it was odd that "Love You I Do" from the film version of DREAMGIRLS was playing on the radio a couple of weeks ago.
"Y'know, I think Bertolt Brecht was rolling in his grave."
-Nellie McKay on the 2006 Broadway production of The Threepenny Opera, in which she played Polly Peachum
I saw "1408" and when I entered the theater it was playing, when I went to the bathroom it was playing, and as I was leaving it was playing. I could not believe it.
