There are shows that are popular and beloved and I just don't "get" why.
I'm not saying they are bad... but they just don't work for me the way they seem to work for others.

I second the "Oliver!" motion.
Never understood the big deal with "Oklahoma!" beyond its historical significance.
"Ragtime," it's a good show and I remember that I loved it when I first saw it. However, I don't see why people are so enamoured with it.

Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)

Don't care which or why or where.
I don't get why people want to see an artist's work inappropriately smashed together and squished through a story that tries to make it all work out.

Les Miz - watching it was really tedious
Phantom of the Opera - doesn't live up to its hype
Cats - I used to like this when I was a kid, but now I don't and have no idea why I used to like it. I guess it was the excitement of being in a theatre and it was my first musical?
Rent - same reason as Phantom
Spring Awakening - I enjoyed it, but it's definitely not my favorite. I went in expecting way too much from it due to the numerous rave reviews I read.
