Well, good for everybody -- Xmas week was the usual box office bonanza. Too bad the tourists couldn't stick around a bit longer. Some shows could really use the lift. How sad that Souvenir and Seascape STILL couldn't crack 60% attendance. And 77% for Woman in White is not a good sign for its long term future.

That was just a Xmas week bump. The tourists have all gone back home now and the numbers will return to earth next week.

I was surprised to see Beauty & the Beast crack a million. Guess they won't be closing it any time soon. Oh well. At least Souvenir is doing better business. Women in White still cracked a million, which is still really good. I'm glad Color Purple is doing good too.
How can Rent be at 104% capacity? Do they have more than 45 standing room spots for each performance?
And orangeskittles, you must have just missed the last Sweeney tickets on Friday -- I got my ticket for the matinee at about 12:03 online.

"well I hope and I pray, that maybe someday, you'll walk in the room with my heart"
The Woman in White has got to go. I think they over-estimated AlW's appeal and decided to go for the monstrous Marquis. Which, as you can see by the percentage, was not a good idea. It's going to close soon unless a stampede of people rush to it. But if that doesn't happen, the dead months ahead are going to kill it.
