When Kelly saw Hairspray with her mom last year she told her that she wanted to play Tracy. I think she would be cute in this part. She's not a great singer but neither was Marissa.
eew, that would be horrible. can she act? can she dance? or does she just get to do it because she said, "hey I wanna do a Broadway musical." I hope this is not going to happen.
Hairspray doesn't need a celebrity like KO. Marissa, if you're reading this, PLEASE COME BACK!!!!!!!!!!!! And Matt, PLEASE DON'T GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"SUNY Binghamton, yes. I'm sure getting a degree from SUNY Binghamton is very useful. Normally to get a degree with that kind of credibility you'd have to study in Guatemala or Haiti."
i still watch the osbournes i love that show. i think kelly osbourne would be a good tracy. as much as i would love to see marissa back i would like it if someone took kathy briers palce asap.

Lord knows she would have to work with a dialect coach, wouldn't she?
"The stage is where I live and come alive and act out all the things that go on in my life. It's not just what I do for a living, it's my shrink and my love affair. No one in my life has ever or ever will kiss me on the mouth like this lover called my relationship with my performance."
I lost interest in the Osbournes in the middle of Season 2. I definitely wouldn't go see Hairspray if Kelly was in it...then again, it's sort of like a really bad train wreck. You have to look just to see how fatal it really is.

I can kinda see KO as Tracey, she'd need to put on weight though (plus get rid of that ghost white makeup). The biggest problem is, she'd get bored v.quickly I'm sure of it.
I like the Osbournes, but it does get a bit samey.. I don't think they deserve the celebrity status they have. Ozzy is in hospital at the moment, he broke a load of bones quad biking in England. Him and Kelly have released a cover of Changes and it is absolutely terrible but really catchy.
i personally love Marissa..and there is alot of Marissa bashing on this site...that I don't understand.. anyway.. Kathy Brier is awesome as well. She is so cute and have you seen her on One Life to Live. the girl has some pipes and they let her show them off on the show from time to time. Kathy was also awesome in Bat Boy!

One of the most appealing things about Marissa is that she was not a celebrity. Tracy's success story was Marissa's as well. Putting in Kelly Osbourne is a cheap shot to sell tickets. What about all the incredible talent out there struggling to get the work and recognition they deserve? Kelly doesn't need the work or the recognition.
"What can you expect from a bunch of seitan worshippers?" - Reginald Tresilian
No One...and I mean No One...could be worse than Marissa Jaret Winokur. Hated her the minute she opened her mouth. Kelly Osborn would probably be horrible as well, but hey if people liked Marissa what do I know?
bestofbroadway- That's just plain rude. Let's see if you ever make it on Broadway.

1. First of all, I think Kelly Osbourne would be an absolute joke as Tracy. I've told lots of people I've wanted to play parts on broadway, but so far, no rumors for me.
2. Second of all, if she did, heaven forbid, get to play Tracy, she wouldn't have to gain weight. They have strict weight limits.
3. I have a particularly talented friend understudying Tracy in the national tour who WAY DESERVES the spot over anybody who got their fame from a trashy "reality" show.
I truly detest famous people getting to be on broadway just because they are famous. Some famouse people deserve to be there, but some just get to be there because of their names. Ticks me off and should tick off every aspiring THEATRE performer.
Ok. I just had to say that.
