New Musicals for 2024-2025 ?

With so many new musicals this season there hasn’t been much talk of what is in the works for next season even though it’s right around the corner. Does anyone have any insider info on plans for musicals in 2025? It’s hard to keep track of regional productions and workshops and what musicals are ready for full productions or are still in the development phase. 
 

So far we just have Tammy Faye coming from the West End (very excited), Boop! The Betty Boop Musical from Chicago and It’s a Wonderful World The Louis Armstrong Musical. 
 

Maybe Smash if it finally happens? Redwood with Idina Menzel? Queen of Versailles with Chenowith? Death Becomes Her from Chicago? Sinatra with Matt Doyle? The other Gatsby? Devil Wears Prada maybe if it transfers after the West End run? The Artist is also being done on the West End could transfer. The Preachers Wife from Atlanta? My Best Friends Wedding from Olgunquit? Prelude to a Kiss from Southcoast Rep? Jason Robert Brown’s Midnight in the Garden of Evil? There’s also a Chakha Khan musical planned for the West End called I’m Every Women’. 
 

Some other musicals out there like In Dreams, Rock N Roll Man, The Connector,  Gun & Powder, Dead Outlaw, Buena Vista Social Club, Gardens of Anuncia, Summer Stock, The Visitor, Knoxville, Real Women Have Curves, White Girl in Danger, The Wanderer, The Flamingo Kid, The Karate Kid, Here We Are, In Pieces, Trading Places, The Secret Life of Bees, Empire Records, Wild, Swept Away, Face In The Crowd, Teeth, Wild About You, Sideways, Joy, From Here, Hester Street, Beaches

I have heard that Queen of Versailles is absolutely transferring, theatre tbd.

I cannot imagine Death Becomes Her is not also a done deal, considering the amount of marketing already.

Don't know if it's still the case, but Transparent was planned to come to Broadway in 2024

Didn't it flop pretty hard in LA, both with critics and audiences?

The Reddit threads of Sweeney's closing seemed to imply Death Becomes Her will take the Lunt next spring. 

No word for the fall.

Word is that SMASH has their building for the spring of 2025.

Summer Stock was a delight at Goodspeed.

Corbin Bleu was terrific - it was if he had been lifted from one of the glorious old MGM musicals. His dancing was incredible.

I just checked and it looks like the press release announcing Broadway ambitions happened after the run in LA ended, so they might decide to try transferring it anyway?  Of course this may still change but it wouldn't be the first time a show with middling reviews out of town made the jump.

Would love to see more life for Summer Stock! Seems like a great adaptation of a classic film! They do still have a website up!

The musical about Muhammad Ali premieres in Louisville this fall with a NY transfer being eyed if it does well.

 

And no idea if Redwood wants to transfer from La Jolla, but if it does, another entertaining Idina v. Kristin Tony Award could definitely be a possibility.

I’m thinking Hercules will open next season now that Casey Nicholaw was able to fix it overseas a few months ago. Just a guess though!

There haven't been many updates on Five Notes, the new show Gloria & Emily Estefan are working on with Michael Grief, but that's got to be a possibility.
