This is one of the CRAZIEST things I've ever read, and while I don't doubt we'll see her do something theatre related at some point... I don't think this is it.
That would make the most sense. There's good reasons why pop stars, especially mega stars like Swift & Gaga won't perform on Broadway. Rehearsals, tryouts, and a commitment to stay on long enough so the producers / investors can recoup their investments. They can make more money in less time recording and touring.
While it would be really cool to see more concert residences on Broadway like Springsteen, a mega star like Taylor Swift would cause chaos on Broadway. You saw how fast tickets sold out for her Eras tour, imagine that happening with an intimate Broadway theater! I think Taylor would be better off with producing. She would definitely help boost sales for The Notebook if she truly is on the producing team!
The idea is to work and to experiment. Some things will be creatively successful, some things will succeed at the box office, and some things will only - which is the biggest only - teach you things that see the future. And they're probably as valuable as any of your successes. -Harold Prince
She's much too big of a name to grace a Broadway stage. She's selling out 100k seat stadiums with ease. Giving her even the largest Broadway house would be chaos. Even if it's a revival of Scandalous or Carrie.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

I want to personally thank you for the mental image of Taylor Swift in Scandalous! LOL

Oh, she would not sign or take pictures. She would get SWAMPPED! They would keep the barricades a good distance from the stage door. She would take a second to wave to both sides, then get into her car. Kinda like what Bruce Springsteen did.

I could see her writing a Broadway musical like Sara Bareilles did with "Waitress". She seems to be quite a prolific songwriter but that would probably be a bunch of years from now.
