No surprise here, but how wonderful that it will be getting more recognition!

I have to see it when it comes to Hollywood or Costa Mesa.

It’s funny, I was watching the matinee yesterday thinking I could see this touring, but I’m worried how much they would scale down the set. I like the way that it’s currently built but if they scale it down the way they have other tours, I’m scared it would look cheap. I hope I’m wrong. But very excited the country will be able to see this.

Obviously, anything that comes from under the stage would have to be reworked. They definitely can keep the proscenium, and wing designs the same. As well as the few orchestra members on the second level. I'm seeing the show this Saturday, and I'm looking forward to it. I think I will have a better idea once I see it.

The idea is to work and to experiment. Some things will be creatively successful, some things will succeed at the box office, and some things will only - which is the biggest only - teach you things that see the future. And they're probably as valuable as any of your successes. -Harold Prince

It has become a slightly textbook strategy. Tony noms come out followed by tour announcements. Feels like a ploy to entice the road voters, no?

No Love, It's a ploy to make money and strike while the iron is hot. With all of the nominations the show has received. It would be foolish not to announce the tour and start the marketing campaign. It's a great show. I hope all across America gets to enjoy it.  My concern are the idiotic states that have a ban on any shows that have performers playing opposite genders or non binary characters. I feel like outside of NYC/LA/CHICAGO & DC many of the smaller cities across America will loose out on getting to experience this show

There is nothing in the world better than Live Theater.

Doubt this will make any stops in Tennessee, Florida or Texas.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

I am just wondering if this is following the trajectory of some other tours that have launched after the broadway production closes...  borrowing elements from the original production for the tour.  Like Funny Girl is about to do.  Like Dolly and Pippin did.  Like Company is about to do.   I know it is getting tons of Tony nomination love right now.. but will it win?  Wont its numbers fall back to what they were before?
