Hi.

I was wondering if anyone has had luck getting rush tickets in the later afternoon or early evening (around 4:30 to 5:00). If so, what shows have you been able to get?

Also wondering the same, more of “shows you don’t have to be at the box office right at opening to be able to score rush tickets too.” Headed to the city this upcoming week, going to be trying for standing room for Sweeney Todd and digital rush for & Juliet and wondering what shows (mostly the new musicals) were easy rush scores that don’t require early queuing up. Seems like Some Like It Hot, Shucked, Kimberly Akimbo and Bad Cinderella appeared to be easy gets, but wasn’t sure if Tony Nominations (in the case of the first three shows) had changed any of that. Any advice would be greatly helpful!

A BEAUTIFUL NOISE typically will have rush tickets available directly at the box office for $45.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

The Telecharge digital rush is usually good for rush tickets up to a half hour until curtain depending on the show and they draw from the same pool as the box office does.

Currently, they have DANCIN, BAD CINDERELLA, LIFE OF PI, and WITHOUT YOU

I typically purchase Rush tickets in the evening after work and have been mostly successful. Tonight, I purchased 2 rush tickets ($35/pp) for Grey House at 7pm (Orchestra F13); last Thursday, purchase tickets to Parade for $79 a few minutes before curtain. Orchestra L.

The time may be a bit too late for you but I was offered a partial view seat for an evening performance of SIX at $49 around 30 minutes before curtain.  I asked if SRO could be offered (the show was not sold out).  They offered me a seat in Side Front Orchestra for the same price as SRO.  The seat was definitely on the side but I did not think it was a partial view at all.

This is excellent information for someone who typically rolls in to the city around noon after driving from Maryland. theatrered100, what day of the week was your Six experience?

I’ll definitely be trying this with Grey House.

I also saw some reports that Fat Ham rush has sometimes been available for hours on TodayTix.

Hunter: Your teeth need whitening./ Heidi: You sound weird./ Jeff: You taste funny.

Probably not since the Tonys announcement. I was poking around yesterday morning for fun and both shows were sold out of rush by 9:30

I hardly ever wait in line for rush tickets anymore. I just don't really enjoy it like I used to when I was younger, so I try to avoid it at all costs, and I've only had to do it twice since Fall 2021.

It helps that I tend to see more plays than musicals; I bet you could get evening rush tickets to most of the non-musical on Broadway right now, with the exceptions of Prima Facie, Doll's House, and NPH's run in Peter Pan Goes Wrong.

I haven't tried it with most of the musicals now, except for New York New York which I got a rush ticket for, like 20 minutes before curtain, during previews. But anything that's not selling very well is a decent bet, too.

That's interesting, although I wonder how it would be getting tickets on a Thursday night during Tonys week, as my daughter and friend and thinking to trying to see Parade after they arrive. That's certainly a better deal, if it exists, than buying anything in advance.

Where were your seats for Grey House?  Good view?

They were marked “partial view” and I definitely missed parts of scene that elicited a reaction from the audience but for $35 no complaints. I was still able to follow the story—as much as you can with Grey House—without issue.

Hey, this is good to know. So you just showed up and did you ask for rush or something? I thought those side orch seats are usually the lotto ones, so I'm intrigued.
