This was posted over on Reddit and looks really reputable...

"Someone mentioned that Taylor Jones rumor to me the other day, and some snooping around on social media led me to believe I might have cracked the new cast…

Maybe I’ll be completely wrong, but all of these folks started following each other (as well as their MD and resident director) recently on Instagram:

  • Taylor Iman Jones (Devil Wears Prada, Broadway: Head Over Heels)

  • Nasia Thomas (Broadway: Caroline, or ChangeAin’t Too Proud)

  • Hailee Kaleem Wright (Broadway: Paradise Square)

  • Leandra Ellis Gaston (Broadway: Tina)

  • Aubrey Matalon (Off Broadway: Between The Lines)

  • Zoe Jensen (departed the role of Eliza on Hamilton’s Angelica tour at the end of October)

  • Bella Coppola (departed the role of Pat in Kinky Boots Off Broadway weeks before their official closing)

  • Marilyn Caserta (previously swung in on Broadway as Aragon, was an alt and the dance captain of the Bliss Cruise company)

  • Kristina Leopold (regional: Sister Act)

  • Leelee (further information unknown)

I look forward to the official announcement! The idea of this possible cast excites me. But I do feel awful for the current cast if this was not their choice to depart. It seems the production really wanted to start a whole new group of queens and rehearse them together to build their chemistry."

Sam Pauly today on IG live said that they found out about all of this non-renewal just before the Tony's in May. So presumably the summer vacation thing may be true but not a factor?

Also Sam seemed sad about it, understandably. She did say she would have stayed with the show if offered.

It does strike me as interesting that a show about female empowerment is leaving its ladies expressing the opposite, well at least I have personally heard Keri, Andrea, and now Sam's thoughts on IG. Brit Mack was silent in the background and harder to read, but it seems like she was agreeing with Andrea's thoughts.

Let me know when they stunt cast an actual pop star(s) in this show for the first time. I think SIX is still likable, but it’s starting to lose some of its luster after this much time.

Again, I think some of you are missing the point. While it may be disappointing, not having a contract renewed is not a punishment for a performer. The union stipulates mandatory percentile pay raises whenever a contract is renewed. This production will get more publicity by announcing a totally new cast (whom the producers can keep at the same pay rate as the current Queens) and the show's core fan base are more likely to return to see new performers. Plus this keeps the show and the performances fresh. How is this not good producing? This is a business not a loyalty rewards program.

Female empowerment? They are being replaced with.... other women, im guessing some of whom will be making their Broadway debuts, launching their careers. To empower women, Bway producers must keep female actors in their roles for as long as they wish? Yikes.

And didnt some of these actors just start a few months ago? Not sure how they could have been told pre-Tonys. The powers that be werent happy with this crew for some reason, and recognized that they could easily save money by replacing them with any of 1000 other talented people dying to be in this show without 99.5% of potential ticket buyers knowing anything about it.

You're assuming that I was implying that the producers are compelled to keep these actors in their role, which I never said. I agree with you, they are free to do whatever they want with the casting.

I am rather observing that some queens are expressing dissatisfaction about the non-renewal. You're right, this will open opportunities for other women. And I know this will be controversial, but your statement that anybody else can just replace the OG cast is reductive. Isn't one of the show's themes that women are unique beings able to bring in specific talents?

It seems a possible unintended but not far-fetched interpretation of the producers' actions is "there are a million other actors who can do these roles", which may be true but would not match the show's message.

Count me as a skeptic of the "summer vacation theory." I don't buy that an isolated incident over the summer resulted in their contracts not being renewed five months later. If they were fired because of it, I think they would have already left the show over the summer.

As far as the new cast, I think Voter might have just cracked it! It's about the right number of women (maybe -1) and it seems like the usual mix of knowns and unknowns (within the Broadway world).

I was reacting to the suggestion---whether by your or by the actors-- that this is some sorta slight against female empowerment. Whatever the reason they are being let go, other *women* are going to replace them. It is way too convenient to suggest that women should be empowered via continued employment, especially when here they aren't being replaced by men (which is why I mentioned there being tons of talented women ready willing and able to replace them).

I have NO idea why the producers wanted to let them go, and maybe they had petty reasons for doing so, or maybe it was purely financial, or maybe the producers are stark raving mad. Ive never seen SIX, I have no opinion of any of these actors. I'm just responding to the tone--from them, from you, from others-- that theres something untoward/amiss/unfair here. There isn't.

I still think there is something to that IG live a few weeks back (which is still available as a regular post on their account as "Healthy Boundaries"Cast Replacements where there was some reference to private information being shared within the cast that was meant to be kept secret.  There could just be an incompatibility issue now that wouldn't be resolved.

I also feel there is value in what another post mentioned about rehearsing a cast as one -- it's definitely a show that benefits from group cohesion.  While it isn't always possible in the Broadway/tour comings and goings, you can't tell me that watching the original casts of the Broadway and two tours don't show that they all work well in part because they've launched it as a unit.

The silver lining is that everyone who is moving on in December either has work lined up or will shortly, no one will be hard up for a role for long.  Even though Keri expressed that she wasn't interested in Wicked, I for one hope she reconsiders...

Don't think any of these are from the cruise ship production.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Glad Iman Jones is joining as Parr - I had read on here she was replacing Pauly as K. Howard which I thought was odd.  She will be fantastic - glad she found something quick after the Prada nightmare.

Iman Jones likely got the part in six due to Prada, thanks to Kevin McCollum being the producer for both shows.

Love Taylor Iman Jones, Hailee Kaleem Wright, and Nasia Thomas! Don't know the other three, but I'm sure they'll be great.

Does anyone know if Six still does Standing Room and how much it is? No way I'll be able to go without a deal of some kind.

I'm not 100% sure-I think they do standing room only if a show is sold out. Not sure on the price either.

Six does standing room when the show is sold out, but they also offer same-day discounts at the box office's discretion - I've been able to get partial view seats for $49 a few hours before curtain and full view seats for $79-$99 (second row one seat off from the aisle for $99). Six also has a lottery where each seat is $35, and the seats are usually front row, box seats, or partial view front orchestra. Last January and February there were additional lottery seats offered throughout the theatre (one of my friends got row M centre and one got row H centre), likely because of the winter slow down - so I would recommend entering the lottery.

I wonder if they will have the departing cast perform at the Thanksgiving Day Parade, or use this to promote the incoming cast.

My guess is it will probably be the departing cast, as SIX is taping their performance from the Horne this Thursday (a friend of mine is going to be there). But we'll find out in a few days!

Samantha Pauly posted something in her instagram stories over the weekend sharing a report that the cast of Six would be performing and captioned it "LOLZ". Interesting.

I think the LOLZ was because in her live she said they were performing in the parade, then thought she wasn't supposed to say that because she thought it hadn't been announced yet. But it was announced, so she posted the announcement with the "LOLZ"

Heard there were 12 mid-show ovations and even a few attempted mid-song Os. Wild.
