If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
I see Town Hall has announced you can now stream the video recording of this program – but only until August 12 at midnight (details here).
I’m on the fence. Has anyone already streamed this? For those who were there, do you think it’s worth viewing it in a recorded format? How were Mandy and Bernadette’s contributions? Did Mandy address his volatility during the process? Thanks.
I cant imaginebit would be any different than live...it was a lovely time.

The event was virtual, so it will not be a different experience watching the recording. I thought it was wonderful. Baranski was a great moderator, Sondheim shared some memories that Lapine did not include in the book, and Mandy got very emotional discussing the opening night on Broadway. Someone did ask Bernadette about the challenge of working opposite Mandy while he was inhabiting the character, and she said she understood his process. They didn't make a big deal of it.

Thanks for posting this. I was initially going to do the talk and book stream package but decided I wanted to read the book first, In case they discussed a lot that is in the book. Getting the book today so may do the $25.00 stream only after I read it.
Maybe 75 minutes all in. The main talk was just under an hour and then maybe another 20 minute Q+A with Steve and James Lapine if I’m remembering correctly.
Definitely longer than an hour, but no longer than an hour and a half. Christine interviewed Steve and James first for a while, then invited Mandy and Bernadette to join, and then a member of the Town Hall team asked Steve and James some audience questions that were submitted online.
