Stokes at Lincoln Center Tonight

Was anyone else at the show tonight? Thankfully, it was a gorgeous night to be outside and listen to one of the best voices in the world for over 90 minutes. Stokes sang a wide variety of songs from Ragtime, Man of La Mancha, Company (his Not Getting Married Today was fantabulous), Les Miserables and many more including quite a few songs Id never even heard before. Hes such a gifted story teller and there was, of course, a lot of talk about Covid - his battle with it and just the subject in general. But sitting there with around 500 (Im guessing) other New Yorkers, celebrating our city and our gradual return to normalcy was so special and one of those Only In New York moments we only ever really get a handful of.

I think hes doing a few more shows this week so definitely try and get to one of them if you can.

Tried the lottery and lost for Friday's show but going to try again. He is doing more shows August 12th thru the 14th.

I'm going tonight.  Did he do "Wheels of a Dream"?    Hoping for a "surprise" duet with a Special Guest!

He ended the show with “Make Them Hear You”, “Wheels of a Dream”, “The Impossible Dream” and “What a Wonderful World.”

When “Wheels…” started, I was bracing myself for Audra to walk out onstage but sadly, no.
