Oh I was gong to start this thread,

No one has ever said no to Trump, but now 275m people have.

Well we cannot celebrate by seeing a show. So toasting a virtual glass of champagne from, Bexleyheath, London, UK. An awesome day.

Now it’s for President Biden and Vice President Harris to unite the U.S. and the world after a lot of damage was done by a dangerous, divisive and narcissistic man.

@yankeefan7 What are you holding? I'll likely buy the "dip" if any materializes. Seriously, my take on the Biden-Harris' victory is that the center is holding...balance has been restored. The stock & forex markets had already priced in a Biden-Harris victory last week. I could go on and on.

In a democracy the media does not have the legal athority to declare a winner.  The legal process must proceed according to the law.  Neither this forum or anyone has the authority to ban the supreme court and other courts from hearing the evidence.  Period.

It's odd that people are so concerned about this. It will simply go like this.

***KNOCK KNOCK***

Secret Service: Sir, today is the day, you need to vacate the White House. You no longer live or work here.

Trump (who is hiding in his bedroom with the door locked): No! I don't wanna! I won in my mind! That is ALL that counts!

Secret Service: Sir, no. Please come out and leave.

Trump: NO!

They will then proceed to break the door, pick him up, put him in cuffs and walk him out.

He is leaving, no worries.

I have two IRA's which are invested in a bunch of things and will not get into detail here. My financial guy said for the short term until Biden is sworn in everything should be fine but he expects markets to take hit if Biden passes his corporate tax increases. I still have a few years before I would be mandated by the government to take money out but figured now was as good a time as any especially when I have done well.

I will give you example of the profit made. I retired at the end of 2018 and was only with the company I retired from a short period of time so I only had $55,000 in the 401K when I left. I immediately rolled it over into another IRA to make a little money and figured I could gamble a bit since this was like "fun" money and not my major investment. I wanted a separate IRA for this amount of money so I would go for more of a risk and higher reward since my big IRA is fairly conservative. As of last Friday, that IRA is now worth $73,000. So I will take the profit and put it away for later years and not worry about a possibly volatile market in 2021.

@yankeefan7 My apologies for prying. I really should have dm'd you. I wish you the best with your investments. As a third party voter, I'm heartened by Biden's centrist nature and the repudiation of both Trump & the ultra left wing in the House. I dm'd another bww poster and reminded him that 2 years into Bill Clinton's first term the Dems lost both chambers, and 2 years into Obama's the House was a goner. Biden and the other party elders are pragmatic enough to avoid making similar blunders in Biden's first term. Plus, with the runaway federal deficit & the pandemic in full bore, there'll be no funds for pie in the sky programs. Both sides will be constrained by fiscal reality which is a good thing. I'll be a happy camper as long as any new or expanded safety net benefits small businesses & natural persons directly. The GOP holds the record for corporate bailouts on its watch. And I don't want to ever again see a sitting president bribe farmers in the mid-west to look the other way while he (or she) uses tariffs to allow Putin to leverage his influence over the rest of the globe.

No problem, thanks for the well wishes. I just think with the possible raise in corporate taxes and the rising deficit, the market may have seen it's best days. Hopefully all will be ok, fingers crossed !!

He lost, fair and square. Get over it. Besides, the claims he was making about it not being a fair election and all that crap hold no water whatsoever. It is telling that when he started to speak, all the news channels stopped to cut into hear what he had to say. And, within seconds when he started to make these bogus claims, they cut out again to return to what was being aired.

I was outside enjoying the gorgeous weather when I got word of Biden's projected victory. Congrats to Joe and Kamala- very eager to see the members of his Cabinet. I should have known the first night of the election would be a red mirage... I never considered the Moonlight Effect before the tallying of mail-in ballots began. Let's face it, the entire nation was in dire need of news like this for many months now. This could very well be the start of a promising future for all Americans. God bless you all, and GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will soon address the Nation from a parking lot in Wilmington, DE.  With an audience in the hundreds sitting in or on or around cars.  It all seems so completely weird and wonderful at the same time.  And this is the moment I and so many others have been looking forward to for four years.

Their victory is our victory.
