Kept waiting for Darlene Love and she was only on for like a minute. Lol. Then that announcer talked over her and Patti LaBelle when they were still singing. I guess they were only meant to be Segway segments to commercial or something. They deserved better. IMO.  Glad Dolly got proper time

I didn't get to see any of this live — I'm surprised none of these are up on any official YouTube channels, and though this is my first year having CBS All Access, I kind of thought there would at least be highlights on there. The embedded JLP and Hamilton videos in BWW's own articles have been removed.

Yeeeeaaaahhhh. I think all these months of covid stress on me just made me SNAP this morning. Half way through Hamilton's performance I just BURST into tears and cried the whole rest of the performance. I was just so happy and overwhelmed to see a theatrical performance once again, even one that was pre-taped, that I just lost it. I straight up LOST it. Thank God I wasn't watching with my family, they would have thought me insane.

ACL2006 said: "I was very happy to see Broadway perform during the parade. didn't tune into CBS, but was the Come From Away number also the one that was filmed a few years ago or was it the new cast?"

It was the performance from a few years ago. Both the Come from Away and Dear Evan Hansen performances were from years past.

My main issue with the Jagged Little Pill performance was I felt they tried to go way too deep into the plot of their show for such a short performance. I think it would have come off better if they had just done it without as much attempted context. They could have just sang the song and done it more a la a group number and it would have worked in my opinion better. I will say I think the vocals were fine, it was the performance context that just didn’t work.

Hamilton, Mean Girls, and Ain’t Too Proud all really did a great job and it was fun to see a mix of people from various companies in the case of Hamilton and Mean Girls in one performance.

The performance that broke me even though I had seen it before was the repeat of the Dear Evan Hansen performance on CBS. The minute Taylor started singing, I was a mess.

Not to double post but all of the performances (excluding the beginning of Hamilton’s outside the Richard Rodgers) from the NBC telecast were filmed on 46th Street in front of the Paramount Hotel.

ATP are wearing costumes from the show- they just haven’t worn these jackets in a press event before. But they are worn for a bit in Act One

“Ain’t too proud” was great! Def. made me want to see the show!

“Hamilton” - was nice to see Josh Henry and of course the show is great.

“Mean Girls” - couldn’t get through it. Terrible song. She sounded fine and all that but I’m so over the bloated Casey N constant choreography thing.

Finally watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on TiVo and it never fails to make me emotional to watch them cut the ribbon - to me that's the beginning of the holiday season. But I was definitely extra emotional how they pulled it off this year, incorporating so many elements from NYC celebrations cancelled earlier this year.

It was also a nice change to not have to watch all the Macy's VIPs sitting in the stands on 34th Street, bored parents and distracted kids squished together clapping unenthusiastically at the proceedings.

Broadway shows were mostly enjoyable. Except for the Mean Girls one, what was that?! But it was nice to see singing and dancing and costumes - especially Giuseppe Bausilio and a few others in those Hamilton pants - and even they were mostly lip-syncing, they all just looked so happy to be performing together again, it made it all extra special.
