Rialto Chatter- Beetlejuice and Mockingbird get new homes? Aug 30
2019, 07:11:18 AM
Moving the set of Beetlejuice would be VERY tricky especially as the WG has one of the largest backstage areas and is wider than many others. I think they would have to rework things in the scenic shop

Has a tony performance ever saved a show Jun 26

I’m remembering (but without details) that the Tony performance helped Bandstand last a bit longer

Want - Tony Award Dress Rehearsal Tix Jun 9
2019, 02:03:03 PM
Sorry everyone for the confusion. I meant that the Sunday run isn’t open to the public for purchase. It’s solely for those invited and still isn’t an official dress rehearsal as a lot is smushed together/skipped. I’m sorry for the misinformation

There is no dress rehearsal. Between yesterday and today, each musical performing ran their numbers and spaced the opening they will be featured in. That’s it. Each section takes hours and was split up in two afternoons. Each show additionally works their numbers Sunday morning. No official run of the broadcasted show will be done.

Chances The Lehman Trilogy or The Inheritance transfer to Broadway next season? Apr 27
2019, 08:30:34 AM
The inheritance is for sure coming in the fall. I know people who have been hired to work it. Rumored between two theatres and will be announced shortly. I think Angels didn’t recoup because how gigantic the set was and what they had to pay that crew in overtime because of the complex set changes between parts
The following have always seemed like good ideas to me: That Thing You Do. Enchanted. As Good As If Gets. Stand By Me. Shawshank Redemption. Empire Records (but off Broadway and campy 90s)
BEETLEJUICE Previews Mar 29

Saw the show in DC and Fuck Brigadoon was not only hysterical, but one of the funniest moments in the show for me. I loved that line !

All in opinion but I’d watch the talent in Aint too Proud despite the mediocre book over network & Maslaney’s terrible acting and Prom with it’s annoying dance breaks & lesbian lead that has nothing else notable about her personality
Two show days: what do you do in between them? Mar 24

-Take the subway to Williamsburg and check out Schmorgasburg. It’s an open air food festival with beautiful views of nyc. Lots of cool mom and pop shops and you could try a ton of new things. -Take the ferry to red hook via lower Manhattan. The boat ride is awesome and you could go eat amazing seafood at Brooklyn crab. There’s also free mini golf and cornhole and tons of arcade games -if you don’t have to leave manhattan check out the lobster boat for dinner. Tasty food and cool views
