I was talking to a friend who went to the first Elsie Fest. And, she spoke about how she had a blast. Yet, I did a little google searching and found out that there isn't one this year. Just curious as to what happened. Anyone know anything?

Someone said there isn't one this year? Or they haven't announced one yet for this year?

It was in October last year, and it's a pretty focused event as far as people interested in going, so it could still announce and occur in that timeframe.

Last year they announced it on 26th July and tickets went on sale August 1st so it should be announced any day now... well I hope so!

I’m going out on a limb to say Darren Criss probably doesn’t care about the theater world now that he’s seen real TV money.

Just a hunch.

He's not currently touring and no dates for future tour cities have been announced. The first part of the LMDC tour finished up a couple of weeks ago.

Why would a limited series be more real TV money than Glee?! And most of his theater world was post-Glee, no?

He's never given any indication at all that that's the case, and in fact he's mentioned a few times recently that he really loves composing musicals and wants to get back to it, and that's in his plans for the next 5 years or so. So it definitely does not seem like he has any intentions of leaving his theater roots behind him :)

I think Elsie Fest will still be happening this year, and I would imagine that news about it might just be delayed because up until just a few weeks ago Darren's been crazy busy between promo for ACS Versace, the tour with Lea, etc.! I mean I'm sure there are plenty of other people who help plan it as well, but even so, I wouldn't be surprised if all the details for it are being finalized a little later than usual this year due to Darren's schedule. But so far as I've seen it still seems like the plan is for it to happen this year!

I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.
