Quick question...I could not find it on any other thread.

Is there any way to call Ticketmaster to change seating locations for the same performance? I bought tickets to Frozen this morning and there are much better seats in the same price range available then I received. I heard Tele-Charge does this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

This won't be much help, but for exchanging concert tickets, it depends on the venue. Some shows I've been able to exchange seats and others I have not.

Your best bet would be to call customer service.

From my own experience, if you call Ticketmaster's fan support line and get through the automated mess you can exchange tickets for a $15 fee per ticket. Equal or greater price range though so you should be fine.

I have also had success calling Ticketmaster and exchanging for a different seat and/or different date with no problem.  Also, there wasn't a charge when I did it, but I am not sure if that has changed. Good luck!  Tell them you have seat envy smiley.

I was on the phone with them this morning for the same reason on behalf of a friend who purchased and later found better seats for the same price. They were able to do the exchange and waived the $15 exchange fee.

I've never had any luck with exchanges/refunds from Ticketmaster; glad to hear others have. Telecharge, on the other hand, has always been very helpful and accommodating.

Just to give recent info on this.....I called TM to try and change my seats for Harry Potter, and after acting like they would do it, she eventually got her supervisor and said they don't do it for this particular show. Honestly, would have never occurred to me that TM would even consider this, so good to know for the future.

Its more up to the producers of each show, not the ticket sellers.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

100% true but it is always more time consuming in Ticketmaster than Telecharge and often the first people to answer on Ticketmaster will just say no (keep asking for a supervisor).

I just successfully changed dates for Hadestown in November on Ticketmaster. Took two days, as they have to contact box office (Telecharge checks with you on hold). I was charged $10 per ticket but got it switched. I also ended up paying a lot more for tickets, since I previously purchased before the Tony awards. C’est la vie.
