I'll be going to 54 Below this afternoon for a cocktail hour and preview performance for SHE LOVES ME! I couldn't believe it when I won the sweepstakes...I never do...Lol. Anyway, it may not be the Hamilton lottery, but I'll be reporting back tonight with my experience! I also just got Roundabout's postcard for the show in the mail so I'm hoping I can get some autographs on it- but I'll ask first of course.
Hey everyone! I'm home! My only regret about the event was that I wanted it to be LONGER!
There were drinks/appetizers set up in the dining room before the presentation (and Sheldon Harnick was seated right there with the rest of us). Everyone's plate had a little commemorative notepad with pink pages and the She Loves Me/Roundabout logo.
After a word from Roundabout's AD, Michael McGrath was the "emcee" for the performances. Zachary Levi (!!) sang "Tonight at Eight," Jane Krakowski sang "Trip to the Library," and Gavin Creel did "Grand Knowing You." Laura Benanti, of course, performed last: "Will He Like Me?" All four got a great reaction from the crowd and sounded fabulous!
Afterward, the only one I was able to talk to was Jane Krakowski because she couldn't find her coat in the dining room! She was very nice, and I told her how much I treasure the role of Carla in Nine. Hahaha. All in all, today was a prize well won!
Was the logo on the notepad you got the same one that's been utilized in all the promotional materials we've seen thus far? I'm curious as to whether or not that will end up being the final version. It seems awfully generic.
Whoa, that's awesome! I didn't even know they were running a contest. Congrats, it sounds like you had a great night. I can't wait to see this show. I love Zachary Levi, he was so charming in First Date, and I can't wait to hear him sing again! Thanks for sharing!
Cupid, the logo was the gold font with a little heart on the hot pink background. It's the same one as on the postcard that just got sent out in the mail.
