Hello! So my boyfriend surprised me with tickets to The Tony Awards for my birthday this year. I'm ecstatic! Have any of you attended before? What was your experience like? Any tips for a first-timer? Thanks, all!
Just listened to the production from a recording someone posted and WOW it sounds amazing. I am blown away by Lauren Ambrose's voice...and my god, this orchestra sounds fantastic! Very excited to see the show in May.
That was my initial thought! Would be a great win but I'm not sure the voting committee would give it to another musical so soon. I know it's not a rule, but it seems like they give it to one per decade.

Absolutely horrific! At least Ruthie Ann, Laura, and the unborn baby are all stable. I can't even begin to imagine how these families will repair in the coming months/years.
Everybody's Talking About Jamie is absolutely on my list--but it looks like they do a lottery on todaytix rather than rush. I'll definitely be entering it, but I'm gravitating towards shows that I'd be easily able to get tickets too. If something falls through, I'll probably just splurge and buy a ticket for it because I've heard nothing but great things!
