I can't find any announcement and I certainly don't recall hearing anything. I'm glad they're recording it- for all the faults in the production and material, there were great vocal performances and a couple of real gems in the score.
"...everyone finally shut up, and the audience could enjoy the beginning of the Anatevka Pogram in peace."
Nice to know one of the most obnoxious shows/scores in recent memory is being recorded for posterity. And here I thought those "gee-look-how-clever-I-am lyrics" had been mercifully consigned to oblivion.

We must have different Gods. My God said "do to others what you would have them do to you". Your God seems to have said "My Way or the Highway".
Huh…well I'll listen to anything from Sh-K-Boom so I'll definitely give it a listen if I can.

ATTENTION FANS: I will be played by James Barbour in the upcoming musical, "BroadwayWorld: The Musical."
Very happy to hear this news, can't wait to hear some of those songs again. Looking at the latest post on BWW it looks like someone replaced Bryce Pinkham?
The previews on iTunes sound great. So happy to hear I Love Cats, Rich People, It's Not A Good Idea, Stop Your Heart, The Tuba Song and their rendition of To Be with You again. Already listened to the 5 songs they had released before the show premiered tons of times already, but I know they have been updated/sung by different people. It's tough having to wait for the physical CD. This won't go up on Spotify tonight right? It goes up when the physical CD releases I believe, yes?
I loved this show so much I saw it 3 times. I wish I could go back again this summer to see it. It was the perfect summer show for watching outdoors in Central Park. But, instead they're doing another King Lear, UGH!

I'm sure it'll live on either revived at Central Park or licensed to other theatres. The clips and early song previews sound great and the press video looked like a great show to see outdoors, just like AntV said!! I downloaded it and the digital booklet isn't working for me, but I cannot wait to listen to it in the morning!
Pre-ordered the disc from Amazon, and I'm loving it right now on Spotify. My only (mild) disappointment is that they didn't include the marching band on "The Tuba Song." I guess it would have been too expensive to bring the high-school marching band into the studio.
I bought it on iTunes last night... And I really like it! Very distinct Michadl Friedman sound.
Speaking of whichever... Why are all of Friedman's songs always so short? Most of them out there clock in at just under two minutes, with the occasional song reaching three minutes. BBAJ's cast album is less than half an hour!
