Hi, I'm looking everywhere for the list of the current Wicked tour cast and cannot find it. I'm going to see it tomorrow and would love to know who I'm going to see.
Hayley Podschun as Glinda Wayne Schroder as Witch's Father Kerry Blanchard as Witch's Mother Jane Brockman as Midwife Jennifer DiNoia as Elphaba Zarah Mahler as Nessarose Michael Wartella as Boq Gina Ferrall as Madame Morrible Jay Russell as Doctor Dillamond David Nathan Perlow as Fiyero Walker Jones as The Wizard Dashí Mitchell as Chistery Updated On: 5/27/13 at 12:15 PM
I really like Jenn as Jane in Tarzan a few years ago...I've heard great things about her Glinda..even though she is an older actress playing Glinda...and I've heard Alison Luff sounds great as Elphaba...
I watched Jenn and Alison in New Orleans. I really wasn't impressed with Jenn's performance. She sang the role much lower than I am use to, and she really chewed the scenery at points. I will say that "Thank Goodness" was a highlight for her.
Alison Luff is fantastic as Elphaba. Her voice is incredible. If you're lucky enough to see both her and Jenn Gambatese, you will not be disappointed. It is the most exciting Wicked cast in a while, plus Curt Hansen is Fiyero and he looks great in those pants.
Can anyone comment more on Curt Hansen as Fiyero? I know the character doesn't have much to do, but how does he sound? I enjoyed Hansen in the NEXT TO NORMAL tour 2 years ago and would love to see him in this (and it doesn't hurt that I find him incredibly attractive and, as someone else mentioned, he must look great in those pants).
" Hansen is a perfect visual fit for the pretty little rich boy who gets caught up in a love triangle between Glinda and Elphaba, and though the story brings too little development of his character, he delivers one of the best performances I've seen of "Dancing Through Life". His emotional duet with Luff, "As Long As You're Mine", is beautiful and haunting."
I would have to agree with this assessment from Broadwayworld.com
Agreed. Curt Hansen was one of my favorites onstage, and normally I'm not a big Fiyero fan.
gavyj: my thoughts exactly on Jenn. She was very sweet and fun to talk to at the stage door, but her Glinda just seemed a bit too artificial for my liking.
Loved Alison Luff's Elphaba! The last show in New Orleans, she tried out some riffs on "The Wizard and I" and sounded amazing.
I really hope Alison Luff transfers to the broadway production. I'd rather see her than Lindsay Mendez...even though she sounds amazing from what I've heard.
Just bought my ticket yesterday to the Wicked tour when they're at the Kennedy Center in DC in December! So excited! Here's hoping the show will be great, and I can't wait to see how Jessica Vosk does as Elphaba. It'll be my first time ever seeing the show so I'm sure she'll impress!
god I hope Alison replaces Jennifer. Wow this thread is old.
