Yes, that was the end. I don't think it will take the whole season to get Emma and Snow back to Storybrooke. An episode or two maybe.

I may be very dense (it happens) but who was in NYC at the very beginning? I'm talking about the cute guy who got the postcard. Was it someone I just didn't recognize?

Blue moon, not dense at all! I have no idea who that was in NYC

Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist. Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino. This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more. Tazber's: Reply to Is Stephen Schwartz a Practicing Christian

I did some looking around and learned that it's Michael Raymond James, who RobbieJ reports has been cast as Baelfire.

If this is true, who sent him the postcard, letting him know that the curse has been broken? His father? Regina? The Blue Fairy?

Yup...that was Michael Raymond James (LOVELOVELOVE HIM) and yes...he got a note from a bird that the curse is broken.

I like to think it was the bird that told him. I'd also like to put a smile on his face in that SH*Tty apartment he lives in.

I got sucked into this last night. Watched the season 1 recap, and then just kept watching.

So, who is Dr. Whale's counterpart? Hmmm

Someone on Twitter tweeted to one of the creators suggesting that Whale is King Arthur, to which the creator said that was an interesting guess. We won't find out who his counterpart is until episode five, which will be entitled "The Doctor".

The episode info can be found here - http://tvline.com/2012/09/22/once-upon-a-time-season-2-episode-titles/

The below is some spoilers post-episode airing. Sounds like it's going to be a doozy of a season, and I'm SO game.

And why isn't Mulan in China? Isn't that where she lives?

King Arthur would explain Lancelot's upcoming arrival. And why he said Charming wasn't his prince.

Peter Pan is also a popular guess, but his Storybrooke counterpart doesn't match that at all.

I absolutely agree with you on the whole Arthur/Lancelot thing, Wynbish.

Peter Pan is a good guess, too, but like you said it doesn't really fit his Storybrooke persona much at all. I know many people have said that the Mysterious New York man is Rumple's son, but perhaps he's Peter Pan? It would seem a pretty terrible curse for a boy who doesn't want to go grow up to be stuck in a mundane nine to five New York job.

For literal counterparts, there's always Dr. Frankenstein and Dr. Jekyll

So the NYC guy is Baelfire? Aw... I was trying to figure it out through the 'clues' that seemed to be foisted upon us--the carriage horse coming to attention to something and reacting, the 'cleaners and hatters' sign on the wall of his apartment (which is the first time I've seen a NYC apartment depicted accurately in a tv show, complete with stubborn window).

This show makes me think about reincarnation. People being put together for a reason, bearing past identities that link them to others. 'Tis cool. Updated On: 10/1/12 at 07:28 PM

Some other guesses I've read about the mystery man is that it could be Henry's father in addition to Baelfire. I do like the idea of him being stuck in NY and his counterpart being Peter Pan.

People on IMDB are saying that Aurora is actually the "Second Sleeping Beauty" and it makes sense. In the second episode of season 1 Regina said "that Sleeping Beauty" got to the best of Maleficent when she was around the same age as Regina when Snow White ruined Regina's happiness. So Aurora was not yet alive when this happened. After Aurora woke up she said that Maleficent went after her mother first, hinting that her mother was the "Original Sleeping Beauty". In the original version of the fairy tale, 'Sleeping Beauty', the Princess's name was Briar Rose and after she married the prince they gave birth to a daughter named Aurora.

Great clip from this week's episode, and really liking beautywickedlover's theory about Sleeping Beauty.

God, I love this show.

It would be great in this season or in future seasons to do some episodes that are based off of 'Brave'. There are lots of fantasy elements from that film and ABC is obviously owned by Disney. But I am guessing that won't happen.

ETA: Made some changes to post after realization.

Is Brave based on a fairy tale? Or is it an original tale for the film?

^ It's an original tale, so actually I am guessing they won't use it. I came up with that idea after Mulan joined the show. But then I forgot that 'Mulan' was a Chinese poem before it became a Disney animated movie.

Keep Brave far away from this, Pixar's worst film to date. Nearly unwatchable.

Rapunzel has not been covered yet. Nor has Princess and the Frog, I think.

"Keep Brave far away from this, Pixar's worst film to date."

No that title belongs to 'Cars 2'. I actually enjoyed 'Brave'.

In case no one already saw this, Annabeth Gish has been cast as a character named Anita, who is the leader of humans who can turn into wolves like Red/Ruby.
