Box office staff told me standing room tickets will be sold starting for tonights performance. Only when the show is sold out (which tonights is) STO tickets for the back of the orchestra will be sold for 32 dollars after the lotto drawing has finished.
I bought my standing room ticket around 7:15. There were only two people ahead of me and we lined up in the lobby until the house was completely sold out. Not all SRO spots were sold tonight.
WARNING!!!! They will not sell you standing room until it is completely sold out. They kept refusing me. Remember that even though it says sold out on-line there are still the obstructed view seats that have to be sold directly from the theatre. Last night I asked for standing room and the box office guy refused me quite rudely and said there wouldn't be any. I went ahead and bought the 69 dollar ticket because I didn't want to risk not getting standing room, and then like 5 people behind me in line - they started selling standing room. This was AFTER lottery.
I asked the guy handling the lottery last night whether standing room would be available, to which he responded, "Not until after opening, if they decide to." So after I lost the lottery, I just left. Had I know SR would be available, I'd have opted. Very frustrating.
Didn't want to start a different thread for this but I had a question. I did try looking it up first, but has anyone done Standing Room recently on a weekend? I am thinking about going trying my luck for either of the shows tomorrow and was wondering just how early I would have to get over there.
2 Saturdays ago, Taylor from further up in the thread got on the line at 6 AM for tickets for the matinee and was 3rd (? correct me if I'm wrong, Taylor) in line and we got tickets no problem.
I can add another voice to the early morning crowd. I lotto'd yesterday and the lotto guy told the crowd that if they wanted to stick, then they could get in the standing room crowd, which starts around 8 a.m.

How many standing room spots are there? And do you think the early morning rush is necessary for them? Or have any been available upon box office opening?
And if you're trying to get tickets to the matinee, I highly suggest getting there early. For an evening show, 3 or 4 is fine. The line gets long quickly.
SRO is always sold an hour before curtain.
"...everyone finally shut up, and the audience could enjoy the beginning of the Anatevka Pogram in peace."
28 spots, exactly. I walked by the theatre around 2pm on Thursday and there was already a long line. I didn't think people would still get there early now considering a lot college students try SRO.

The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

How has standing room been lately? I'm going to try to do SRO for November 2nd (so I have 2 opportunities with Matinee and Evening) and wasn't sure what time people normally start lining up.
