I was also at the second preview last night - also from New York to see the show. Rosalie Craig is a star! She was really amazing! Patti LuPone singing "Ladies who lunch" directly at Bobbi was chilling. "here's to the girls who just watch" sent a chill to my bone. She also sang the whole song sitting down and not even facing the audience. It was spectacular.
It makes sense. Regardless of "competition," producing is a FULL TIME job. Rubin is able to do it because he has a large and very competent staff with lots of experience. If these are new Broadway producers they should probably take one step at a time. It makes sense to wait. Plus the show needs soooooooo much work. It was a complete mess in Boston. Beautiful show but the book is in shambles. Fix the book and let it run for years!

THAT MEANS HE WAS A GREAT SOAP VILLAIN. They should not have cut the only villain from a soapy prime time show. Season 2 lacked conflict manly because Ellis was cut. I think they need to make a season 3 where Ellis is a "Ken Davenport" type of up-start-non-conventional producer who is competing with Eileen. Karen is now a successful TV actress whose show just got canceled an
A show needs A LOT of buzz to hit... and very shows hit... so the odds are not in its favor - especially since it has zero buzz. I haven't heard from anyone that "can't wait" for this show to open.
That being said - this is kind of a si

Happened to be at a rehearsal studio today and there was a rehearsal for a reading of the new Sondheim musical for the public theatre. Sondheim was there as was Glenn Close.
Joel Grey, Michelle Williams, and Sam Rockwell were also there though it’s unclear if they were there for Sondheim’s new musical or rehearsals for “Fosse” and “Fiddler” or something else entirely...
Ohhhhhhh Nicollette is amazing!!! I saw her in INVISIBLE THREAD. She's wonderful! Congrats! She won't sell tickets though so they must have a big name coming in for Dr. P.

Is it wise to have two shows happening at the same time that are so similar and likely will get mixed up by people? I know they aren't exactly the same but I'm often having to double check what song is in what show or the names of the characters."

I also wish some really strong shows like Groundhog Day, Come From Away, and Waitress had opened in a year like this instead of in the Hamilton/Dear Evan Hansen/Hello Dolly juggernaut years"
Why yes... I would love to be a THOT on Derek Klena.

Harvey Milk or children of a Lesser God Apr 15

I absolutely loved Harvey milk. I was not expecting it to be so moving and wonderful with fantastic songs and performances to boot!
I loved it. Joshua Henry gave me goosebumps. Hope he wins a Tony. Lindsay Mendez was fantastic too, hope she wins a Tony... and Renee Fleming blew out the sound system (which was kind of annoying), but she was magnificent. I still hate the ending of the show though... I don't understand why he has to get this redemption to go to Heaven after being such a terrible person. Cut the little walking toward the angel part and I think it would help a lot. I didn't mind the fact that there was
