A headache.

I second the headache. I gave up after awhile because the crowds were just too much for me. I got a blanket from Mary Poppins and some Playbills. I entered the ticket raffle thing but didn't win any.

I honestly would've preferred waiting a week and having it outside.

2 quick questions:

1. Is it raining like they have thought?

2. Any 9 to 5 stuff?

Just curious. :)

1. Yes. Sorta.

2. Don't know, because I'm not even bothering.

I saw a large, shiny poster board of a Stephanie J. Block ad from 9 to 5. They also had the clock signed by the cast. I don't know what else they had, but I wasn't looking for anything from that show.

I got molested.

It was hellish. I'm glad they chose to still do it but really, this should teach them that if they get rained out again to just postpone.

Did anyone go down to the boiler room? Oh sorry, I mean downstairs to the pitch black lower level of booths? I was there for about an hour and gave up. I might head back later on when hopefully the crowds die down but I just had to get out of there so I could breathe.

Yeah, there was no air downstairs; I couldn't take it.
They really should have just postponed it.

And is it just me or were things just REEEEEALLY expensive this year? Even things like CD's which you can normally pick up for $2-$5, people were asking $10-$15 for.

I'm going to meander back at around 5, to see if it's quieted down and if the prices have gone down.

I was just curious - I know many of you guys probably were not interested in any of that stuff, but I just thought you might have seen something as you were looking for the stuff you wanted.

Hope you all found good deals! Sorry that some of you didn't have a great experience b/c of it being indoors.

Oh I wanna play! :) There was some 9 to 5 stuff, not much. Very scattered.

I got:
9 to 5 Lobby Signed Display Clock (Haggled it down QUITE a bit.)
Giant 9 to 5 Display Playbill Signed by Full Cast + Dolly
Legally Blonde Cast Recording Display Poster signed by the OBC.
Saturday Night Fever Keychain (shut your face)
The new Bway Bares DVD (Allison Janney gives you pastied titty! It's worth it!)

That's all for me. I have to go downtown around 6 so I may stop by before closing to see what's up.

Just to add to the bitching/moaning: Yeah, it was hellish. The downstairs was the WORST. Honestly, just a terrible experience for everyone. They should definitely have postponed.

It was so crowded and hot, could barely move though it. It wasn't worth it to stick around and deal with the people, I will go back this afternoon in a few hours. I got a few random things but nothing huge and fancy.

I didn't even see any 9 to 5 stuff. Too many people to take time to actually look.

kchenofan's computer is broken right now. This is her fridge. Now, you can leave a message, but say it slowly, so I can write it on a post-it note and stick it to myself.

Friend was there (for around 10 mins), and said they should have handed out Advil !! She said it was beyond impossible to see anything because of the lack of space.

I have a feeling the amount of money raised this year will pale in comparison to last year...so sad. They should have postponed for when the weather was better.

I left just around 2pm and didn't see them turning anyone away. I thought it was just the normal lull that happens as people are heading to their matinees.

I got some Broadway Impact pins and a signed fan from the cast. My bank screwed me out of some funds so I went with less of a budget. One thing I saw was someone upstairs in the picture/autograph line who I guess got Stephanie J. Block's giant poster that was hanging at the Marquis. Makes me wonder how big people's apartments are.

I left after like an hour. It was a huge fire hazard and potential death trap if, God forbid, something happened and everyone needed to evacuate.

Very unsafe and ridiculously hot, crowded, and uncomfortable. They should have postponed. It was a real mess.

I got Playbills from the OBCs of CHICAGO and A CHORUS LINE for $2 each, a CURTAINS Playbill (I lost mine) for a quarter, 9 TO 5 post-its for $1, and a PLAYBILL pen for $1.

I wish I could've stayed longer and snooped around but it was nearly impossible to even see most of the stuff on the tables.

It was really not a good idea to move it into Roseland. As I left, the fire dept and police officers were shutting the doors and a line was beginning to form to get in.
