Today Jen sese was on as Peggy/Maria but something happened to Ta’rea and from the wedding scene on, she (jen) was Angelica with no one as Peggy. Sadly I had to go to my paying job before I found out who went on as Maria. Gotta love live theater.
Finally saw Joseph Morales and Jon Patrick Walker in their respective roles last night. I loved the former but wasn't really a fan of the latter (his voice was kind of grating.)
I had no idea there was anything wrong with Kyle Scatliffe during last night's performance until there was an announcement at intermission that he was being replaced by King David Jones--he killed it!
I really enjoyed seeing the Phillip cast last weekend. I got to see Wonza Johnson and Julius Thomas III as Hamilton and they were both great. Shoba might just be my favorite Eliza--what a beautiful voice. All of the principals were great--though I didn't get to see Jon Patrick Walker. I'm hoping I'll get to see him this weekend. I also loved Jen Sese as Peggy/ Maria and Emily Jenda as Eliza.
I don't think I can say which tour cast I thought was. stronger. The

Is it typical of Wonza Johnson to take the leadon weekends? I’m seeing the show on a Friday evening in Cleveland and was hoping to see Joseph Morales since he was Hamilton in the sit-down Chicago cast. I saw a tiny bit ofhis YouTube performance and
They actually cancelled KA the night I was going. They said it was for tech problems, but the seating plan wasn't far off that when I bought my tickets the day before.
That was February not summer though."
Ka had to cancel at least a week's worth of performances in February because of tech problems.

There isn’t really a stage door the actors exit through the same courtyard the audience does, at least in my experience.

They’re having 2 opening nights. One is for the party and the other is the night reviews are coming out.

I saw the Angelica company when they were in LA and again when I just happened to be in St. Louis last month. Most of the principals changed but I really enjoyed all of them. Austin Scott was a wonderful Hamilton. I also loved seeing how much Sabrina Sloan has grown as Angelica since her first performance in LA.
Can’t wait to see the Philip company when they get here in a few weeks.
