This is the sad fate of those who don't get out much.

Well, Bloomberg got elected to a third term, so anything's possible.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

My God, you can be scared and stay in your home the rest of your days but playing the victim is ridiculous. Crime happens in NYC. Period. And you not being inoculated at your age? There is a vaccine for a deadly illness and you won't be taking it? Cool. I have no time for that kind of ignorance and stupidity.

Nah. You didn't even know that Congress were essential government employees who were among the first inoculated. It was on every reputable website with photos of all of them getting the shot. When I pointed that out to you, you immediately changed the subject because you felt stupid. Don't come for ACL, most people don't follow local politics so there is no need for the snide. Thanks so much.

Fosse76 said: "While under the strict language of the law oral modifications are legal (on their face), the 'he said/she said" nature of oral contract disputes make them untenable and worthless. And considering that most written contracts have boiler-plate language prohibiting oral modifications, the New York State Appellate Division has upheld that oral modifications cannot be made to written contracts with such clauses. I'd be shocked if any performer had a contract without such a clause."

First of all, most contracts are oral and most written contracts have no language addressing modifications. Many contracts are orally modified. You have to understand that your head is in very formal contracts and most contracts are not, even when written. You go to the dentist and have a tooth pulled. There is an implied contract, nothing in writing. The painter comes to your house, gives you a bid and you sign it. That's a written contract. Then you decide you want the door repainted too. The painter says that'll be an extra $100. You say ok. That's an oral modification of a written contract. Of course the courts uphold written modification clauses in contracts; that was never open for discussion. And of course equity members do not have contracts without written modification clauses; that was never open for discussion. Also, of course, the whole issue is irrelevant because, as rehearsed, what happened for the pandemic is contractual to begin with.

"I never argued otherwise. And based on the nature of the business, I wouldn't be surprised to find language in the contract that permits a suspension. And it is correct that an employer or employee cannot terminate the employment as a result of the suspension (unless there is language addressing termination due to suspension). However, a contract suspension does not survive the original contract period. Assuming that all of the performance contracts on Broadway have expired, the "suspension" is pretty meaningless."

You misapprehend the situation. Contractually, the contract is suspended. Contractually, that suspension means the contracts don't expire on their original dates. (Hence the word "suspension."Cuomo Announces NY PopsUp; Discusses Broadway's Reopening Contractually, actors can terminate after a suspension of this kind. So the suspension is not meaningless at all. And there is no modification (oral or written) at all.

"You can say anything you want so long as it is not incitement or some other constitutionally-prohibited speech (as in the case of the Facebook actions). But when you continue to propagate false information, in the face of a demonstration it is false, you will be called out for it. Wanna know why? Free speech."

Actually, I think the gentleman was voicing his opinion not spreading false information. You may totally disagree with his opinion but since Broadway is not open nobody knows what will happen do they?

After that election, there was a referendum that, by a very large margin, reversed the law allowing a third term. While anything is possible in theory, even the slightest attention would reveal that DeBlasio is not waging that war and, were he to, he would lose that battle considering his present posture vis-a-vis the city council. Bye Bye Billie.

To whom was that directed? Regarding the part about essential government employees, what are you talking about? I am pretty confident I never engaged in a discussion on that point so if you think I did, could you kindly show it to me? I don't change subjects when I feel stupid; I say I feel stupid. So now sort this out por favor. Or don't, if you don't want to.  P.S. what "most people" do and don't do does not speak to what I said to ACL. Read it.

You are so right. Like I said, "anything is possible." That is why we have to focus on facts in order to understand what's going on.

Seriously?

I am pretty confident I never engaged in a discussion on that point so if you think I did, could you kindly show it to me?

Sure bro. Last three posts. Then I will accept your apology.

I owe you no apology. I was wrong and you pointed that out. I did not challenge your information. That does not entitled you to a parade. Or a gold star. Be well.

You literally changed the subject. You did not say you felt stupid. Nope. Nope. Nope.

That is challenging me. Pretty much the definition of it. You were and are wrong. Period.

I truly wish you would find something more meaningful in life than some of the nonsense you waste people's time with here. But there was no "challenge." In fact, if you read what I said, I encouraged you to correct me if my recollection was wrong. Not a "challenge" in sight. And likewise, I did not change the subject. I had made a passing comment about Rubio, which had an erroneous foundation, and you corrected it. I did not question your correction and there was no need to discuss it further. (What was I to write there, in your view? ("Oh Sutton, how brilliant you are!"?) I then proceeded to discuss the actual subject of the thread, something you seem increasingly incapable of doing. Which is unfortunate because I know you are capable of making good contributions to this board when you don't get distracted. I hope you can revert. No one is impressed by nonsense.

Haha. You waste your time spewing crap that nobody cares about 95% of the time. It's cute you have commentary on my contributions when you think that saying the same sh*t every day for a year is helpful. It's not. Don't worry about my life and what I'm doing. Most men around here can never admit they are wrong, it's sad to realize you are one of them.

No one is impressed by (your) nonsense. Remember that. And with that, I am done with this conversation. Not because I care about wasting people's time on here but because it's honestly like talking to After Eight or Roxy. It goes nowhere. Ew.

Have a blessed day!

Thank you.

I could not be more pleased you are done with this convo, whatever the reason.

P.S. I said I was wrong, as I always do when I am, but I forgot that not everyone reads what's written.
