This is one of the live action film remakes I am most excited about, as well as, it's casting. I hope they will keep the original songs and the new pasek and Paul songs sound like they belong together in the same universe. Hopefully we will get a trailer sometime soon!

It's better than before, the characters are dwarfs. But I do not understand this decision. This would have been a wonderful chance to give 7 talented dwarf actors the role of a lifetime. I know many suitable actors who dedicate their lives to this craft. Why slap them in the face again? Is Disney's standpoint "if our diverse bunch of magical creatures can't play the parts, nobody will"? Is animation the only way to be able to tell a story authentically nowadays, because of affectation?
Also, the quality of cgi animation is still not on a professional level in general. It looks kind of weird and cheap, even in The Little Mermaid they couldn't make it look right and organic. It doesn't come close to the fluidity and feel of 2d.
I can imagine they will have to re-shoot a lot of scenes, basically the whole movie. It's all very interesting and I wonder what Zegler will say about all this in the promo tour.
Honestly not sure how to feel about this, with all the discussion that has gone around about the dwarves. This picture just seems...strange"
It has a real... Tom Hanks Pinocchio energy. I feel like Disney consistently underestimates how much people hate the CGI in these live action remakes."
I wasn’t a fan of that one. But I hope to be of this remake
Apparently, Disney execs are furious over the recent South Park "Panderverse" episode. So much so, they sicced their lawyers on Matt and Trey. They couldn't make any headway, though, "fair use" being "fair use."
