I hear that 'Miss you like hell' is going to be great, that it's in the realm of 'Fun Home'. They have Free First Preview foe Tuesday's performamce in the TodayTix app so I'm definitely going to try that out.

If the answer is yes for S&S, that would be quite an accomplishment. (Starts previews end of next week.)

Turns out I wasn't a big fan of Miss You Like Hell. It might have been because of where I was sitting. They have onstage seats which was kinda a miss for it since the cast played more to the general audience so you saw a good amount of back of heads.

I did see Mlima's Tale yesterday, though. I liked that one better. The sound effects are great and Sahr was amazing as Mlima. Lynn Nottage did a wonderful job with it.

Saw BOBBIE CLEARLY and really enjoyed it. It is semi immersive. The cast is everywhere in the theater. Constance Schulman is wonderful I this.

Also saw HARRY CLARKE and loved it. I would see it again. Crudup is fantastic.

Just give the world Love.

Since you've seen Sweeney, Harry Clarke is the one, hands down.

Heading back to the city this weekend. Hoping to catch some Off Broadway shows.

What are the ones to catch?

Thanks!

This is off-off-Broadway, but I really loved Rags Parkland Sings the Songs of the Future at Ars Nova. It's a unique, immersive piece, with a lot of heart at the center.

I was thinking of getting a ticket for Desperate Measures as there’s a Thursday matinee.

Any other options?

I think the Yiddish production of Fiddler also does a Thursday matinee, if you don't mind trekking to and from downtown between shows.

School Girls; or, the African Mean Girls Play is wonderful.  Small and specific but also universal.  Very funny.

I'd highly recommend Yiddish Fiddler On The Roof. There's something so special about seeing the production in the original language.

But I'd also recommend looking into shows in theaters like MCC, Atlantic Theater Company, Second Stage. I'm very excited about the upcoming season at MCC, all of the shows sound like they have the potential to be great, so I'd recommend looking out for those.

For October, if you can get a ticket (which probably not), "Little Shop" I've only heard good things about (Well, a little bit mixed reviews for Blanchard as Audrey really, but everything else is top notch). "Dust" I also heard is super good right now.

Then for outside of October, Sing Street and Assassins have a lot of hype behind them. I'm very excited for those productions.

Not familiar with the Lincoln Center Production currently running, but I recently saw a local production of ADMISSIONS and thought it was one of the most incredible contemporary plays I have ever seen. Definitely worth considering in my opinion.

Admissions ran at Lincoln Center over a year ago.

I second an earlier suggestion of Fiddler in Yiddish. It is an extraordinary cast and a lively and touching production. I am going back today for a third visit - something I never do.
