The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre has brought many theatrical premieres to the area including being one of the first theaters in the country to obtain the rights to produce a regional theater production of the musical comedy The Wedding SingerOther shows, such as Neil Simon's The Goodbye Girl - The MusicalLa Cage aux FollesThoroughly Modern MillieMel Brooks'The Producers, and All Shook Up made their western Maryland regional theater debuts at Way Off Broadway. 

As the theatre moves forward with its 2012 Season and plans for the future, Way Off Broadway's Executive Producer and CEO, Bill Kiska, has announced that Genevieve Williams will become the theatre's new Audience Development Manager. Working with Way Off Broadway's President and Managing Director, Justin M. Kiska, the two will oversee the expansion of the Way Off Broadway brand and audience base throughout the region.

Williams is a multi-faceted artist whose work includes stints as a performer, director, writer, and producer. Her work in the theatre industry has taken her from positions in New York City working for some of the biggest name producers on Broadway including Disney Theatrical Group, The Producing Office (Jeffrey Sellers and Kevin McCollum), and Fran and Barry Weissler to a number of theatre companies in the Washington, DC region.

"We are very excited to have Genevieve onboard as we move forward," says (Bill) Kiska. "Her knowledge and experience will be invaluable to Way Off Broadway as we begin a new period of growth and expansion over the coming years." 

The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre has been a leader in the region's performing arts community since it first opened in 1995. Under the direction of the Kiska Family since 2002, Way Off Broadway has produced such productions as A Funny Thing . . . ForumGuys & DollsSteel MagnoliasOklahoma!GreaseFiddler on the RoofThe Odd CoupleA Chorus LineLend Me a Tenor,The Sound of MusicThoroughly Modern MillieEvitaCatsThe Full MontySouth Pacific, and Hairspray, as well as the regional and/or area premieres of Neil Simon's The Goodbye Girl - The Musical, Jerry Herman's La Cage aux Folles, the musical comedy The Wedding Singer, Mel BrooksThe ProducersDirty Rotten Scoundrels, and The Drowsy Chaperone. Located along Route 40 West, the Golden Mile in Frederick, the theatre also produces a one-of-a-kind children's lunch theatre, as well as a number of special events throughout the year.
