Michigan-born and now Nashville-based, Strings arrived on the music scene as one of the most compelling new artists with the release of his 2017 debut LP, Turmoil & Tinfoil.

In May, Harding released the song “Hopeful”, his first new music since 2018. Directed by photojournalist Lynsey Weatherspoon, the song’s accompanying black and white video was filmed in the West End of Atlanta.

The Pamela Z, Theofanidis and Wingate, and Beglarian pieces are part of Apollo’s 20x2020 project, launched in 2014 with a mission to commission 20 new multicultural works before the end of the decade.

The band also recently released White Blood Cells (Deluxe), a newly expanded digital edition now including a bonus live performance of the classic album, recorded in its entirety at Detroit, MI’s famed Gold Dollar on June 7, 2001.

Woman on the Internet will follow Gartland’s first two acclaimed EPs, 2019’s Why Am I Like This? and the follow up Freckle Season, which was released in February last year.

Laden with sugary harmonies, reminiscent of Stevenson's power-pop driven 2015 effort Cocksure, the new track is an “instant indie classic” anti-anthem; a sour grapes song about unrequited love and the inevitability that it too will grow stale. 

The live album arrives this fall on October 1st and features performances by  Charles Bradley, Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, Naomi Shelton, Antibalas, The Budos Band, Menahan Street Band, Sugarman 3, Saun & Starr, and the Como Mamas. 

July 7th marks the release of the album’s title track as Frogs and Birds’ first single, as well as the kick-off for pre-orders of the digital and CD versions of the complete album, to be released via Craft Recordings in the US on August 27th, 2021.
