According to Entertainment Weekly, Broadway favorite Neil Patrick Harris has a memoir in the works. Crown Archetype will release the book, which is currently set to be published in spring 2014.

It concentrates on the life of Argentine political leader Eva Perón, the second wife of Argentine president Juan Perón. The story follows Evita's early life, rise to power, charity work, and eventual death. Evita began as a rock opera concept album released in 1976. Its success led to productions in London's West End in 1978, and on Broadway a year later, both of which enjoyed considerable success. A major 1996 film of the musical starred Madonna and Antonio Banderas. In 2006, the musical was revived in London, and on Broadway in 2012.

Reynold Levy, President of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts since March 2002, will step down on December 31, 2013, after an 11-year tenure in which he ushered in a new era at Lincoln Center, announced Lincoln Center Chair Katherine Farley. Mr. Levy led the $1.2 billion critically-acclaimed physical transformation of the 16-acre campus to a successful conclusion, on time and on budget. Under Mr. Levy's leadership, both audience and community engagement have been expanded by utilizing innovative digital initiatives, free programming and new indoor and outdoor facilities. Altogether, more than $1.3 billion in contributed funds have been raised for Lincoln Center during Mr. Levy's tenure. He also developed new sources of revenue and produced an unbroken record of balanced and surplus budgets to fuel the operation of the world's largest, and America's first, performing arts center.

Jarrod Spector, longtime star of Broadway's Jersey Boys, brings his critically-acclaimed solo show to Joe's Pub (425 Lafayette Street) on Monday, October 1st at 9:30 p.m. to mark the release of his new studio album. The show, entitled MINOR FALL, MAJOR LIFT, is directed by Eric Michael Gillett and covers much of the material contained on the new CD, which will be available for purchase (and can be signed) exclusively at the event with a digital release to be announced.

The producers of JERSEY BOYS just announced that Drew Gehling and Jarrod Spector will be returning to the Broadway company. Spector returns to the role of 'Frankie Valli' on Tuesday, October 2, following the final performance of Tony winner John Lloyd Young on Sunday, September 30. Gehling assumes the role of 'Bob Gaudio' joining Jeremy Kushnier as 'Tommy DeVito' on Tuesday, October 9, following the departure of current stars Quinn VanAntwerp and Andy Karl (respectively) after the Sunday, October 7 performance.

Bob Boyett and Harriet Newman Leve have just announced that ANN, a new play written and performed by Emmy Award-winning actress Holland Taylor, will open on Broadway at Lincoln Center Theater's Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street) Thursday, March 7, 2013. ANN is a no-holds-barred portrait of the unforgettable Governor of the Lone Star State, Ann Richards. The play is directed by Benjamin Endsley Klein, and is produced by Bob Boyett and Harriet Newman Leve in association with Lincoln Center Theater. ANN is executive produced by Kevin Bailey who has spearheaded the production since its inception.

According to an Equity casting notice, Nora Ephron's LUCKY GUY will open on Broadway at a Shubert Theatre in March 2013. Though casting has not been announced, Tom Hanks was previously attached to the project before Ephron's death last summer.

Tom Hooper's upcoming big-screen adaptation of 'Les Miserables,' starring Hugh Jackman as Jean Valjean, Anne Hathaway as Fantine and a slew of other big-name stars, will debut in theaters December 25.
