German company Theater der Nacht is crossing the Atlantic to present The Amazing Night Time Adventure of Little Häwelmann at Imagination Stage as part of the My First Imagination Stage season. This production is presented in part with the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany.

On September 15th, Ailey II will embark on a 31-city world tour with 21 domestic stops includingKansas City, MO; Fayetteville, NC; Boulder, CO and Columbus, OH. The international portion of Ailey II's tour will take them to Neuss Germany and nine French cities including Cannes, Beauvais and Toulon (full schedule on page two). New Artistic Director Troy Powell will build upon Ailey II's remarkable tradition and bring a fresh dimension to this beloved company during his inaugural season.

Satellite Ballet will present two ballets that showcase the company's commitment to complete collaborationon Friday, November 2 at 8 pm at the Gerald W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, 524 W. 59th Street. The program includes two works choreographed by Troy Schumacher: the NY premiere of Warehouse under the Hudson and Epistasis, both accompanied by live music and multimedia projections.

Sundance Institute today announced the appointment of Paul Federbush to International Director, Feature Film Program (FFP). Federbush will oversee the international activities of the Institute's Feature Film Program. Federbush will begin September 24, reporting to Michelle Satter, Founding Director, Feature Film Program.

Adhering more closely to the original novel than did the famous motion picture versions, the play blends moments of brooding terror and sudden shock with questions of morality and the dangers of unrestrained scientific inquiry.

WaterTower Theatre today announced casting details for its holiday show, It's A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play. The ensemble cast, directed by Mark Fleischer, features Jessica Cavanagh (last appeared at WaterTower Theatre in August: Osage Country), Matt Moore (last appeared at WTT in The Lieutenant of Inishmore), Jim Johnson (last appeared at WTT in The Great American Trailer Park Musical), Lydia MacKay (last appeared at WTT in As You Like It) and B.J. Cleveland, who makes his WTT stage debut in this production.

Berkshire Theatre Group and Artistic Director/CEO Kate Maguire has announced a full Fall line-up for The Colonial Theatre, The Garage and The Unicorn Theatre.

Amas Musical Theatre (Donna Trinkoff, Artistic Director) in association with Scandobean Productions, LLC will present a new musical with book, music and lyrics by David Rossmer and Steve Rosen entitled The Other Josh Cohen. It will be directed by the very fancy, Tony Award-winning Ted Sperling, with choreography by Andrew Palermo and musical direction by Vadim Feichtner. The Other Josh Cohen will begin performances on October 10 and open on Sunday, October 21. It runs through November 11, 2012 only, and plays at the scenic SoHo Playhouse (15 Vandam Street). On the occasion of the fall exhibition Picasso Black and White, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum will remain open for over two additional hours on select evenings for the full fifteen weeks of the exhibition, which is on view from October 5, 2012, through January 23, 2013. The extended hours will be offered on Sundays and Mondays, with the exception of holidays on December 24 and 31, from 10 am until 8 pm. During the late evenings, the museum store will be open until 8:30 pm, and both Cafe 3 and the Wright restaurant, serving a full bar and snack menu, will be open until 7 pm.

Asolo Repertory Theatre is pleased to announce that Venus in Fur by David Ives will complete the line-up for its 2012-2013 season. The production will be staged in the Historic Asolo Theater April 5-28, 2013 with preview performances April 3th and 4th.

Signature Theatre has announced a "World of the Play" discussion for Athol Fugard's The Train Driver on Saturday, September 15 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre Lobby at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). The event, which will be focused on post-apartheid South Africa, is free and open to the general public (no reservations required).

Casting has been announced for the second play in THE TRANSFORMATION SEASON at the Ustinov Studio, Theatre Royal Bath. deadkidsongs is an adaptation of the critically acclaimed contemporary novel by Toby Litt and will run from 18th October - 17th November (Press night 25th October, 7pm).

Honoring the work and legacy of one of the great jazz composers and collaborators, the Music Institute of Chicago presents a Billy Strayhorn Festival October 26-28. The festival, presented in partnership with Billy Strayhorn Songs Inc., a family corporation of the Strayhorn heirs, includes two star-studded concerts featuring trumpet great Terell Stafford and a screening of the award-winning film Billy Strayhorn: Lush Life followed by a panel discussion. The festival takes place at Nichols Concert Hall, 1490 Chicago Avenue, Evanston.

Following the success of the Mozart Mass in C minor and Requiem releases, the Handel and Haydn Society is has announced its third live recording on the CORO label on September 11. Soloists Teresa Wakim, Paula Murrihy, Thomas Cooley, Sumner Thompson joined Harry and the Society to record Mozart's Coronation Mass live at Boston's Symphony Hall earlier this year.
