The Chicago League of Lady Arm Wrestlers (CCLAW) are flexing their forearms and conjuring up some wicked good fun this fall at CLLAW-O-WEEN on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at O'Malley's Liquor Kitchen, 3551 N. Sheffield Ave. in Chicago. Brought to you by Sideshow Theatre Company, CCLAW's 14th match will feature fearsome lady arm wrestlers decked out in outrageous outfits, an open bar, shady referees and audience participation all wrapped into one wild, crazy, theatrical Halloween event. All proceeds from the spooktacular spectacle will benefit Sideshow Theatre and its partner charity, Rock for Kids.

Three-time Grammy-winner and "musician's musician" Brian Setzer and his 18-piece Brian Setzer Orchestra come to the Hollywood Bowl for three nights of their innovative musical style, Friday and Saturday, September 14 and 15, at 8 pm, and Sunday, September 16, at 7:30 pm. For the first time, he and his big band will be joined by the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, led by Thomas Wilkins in such hits as "Stray Cat Strut," "Jump Jive An' Wail," "Rock this Town." These evenings of memorable performances are capped with the summer season finale of the Hollywood Bowl's dazzling fireworks show.

NYC & Company, New York City's official marketing, tourism and partnership organization, New York Comedy Festival and Comedy Central today announced the second annual Comedy Week, November 5-11. On the heels of Election Night, Comedy Central's sketch-comedy duo, Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele, from the hit series Key & Peele will perform a free Comedy Week show as part of the weeklong celebration on Wednesday, November 7, at8 pm at the NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts. In addition, more than 175 comedians will be in New York City to participate in the New York Comedy Festival, performing at some of New York City's most iconic venues, including the Apollo Theater, Carnegie Hall, the Beacon Theatre, Madison Square Garden, Town Hall and Carolines on Broadway.

Taking its title from Alberto Giacometti's surrealist sculptures, this building-wide exhibition explores themes of desire and repulsion, the familiar and the unfamiliar. In the wake of war, industrial revolution, economic collapse, and political unrest, the surrealists sought to renegotiate and challenge traditional relationships between sexuality, the subconscious and commodity culture. Under these conditions, they used the uncanny and the informe to subversive ends.

The Museum of Modern Art will show Christian Marclay's groundbreaking video installation The Clock (2010), from December 21, 2012, to January 21, 2013. Winner of the Golden Lion award at the 2011 Venice Biennale, The Clock is a cinematic tour de force that unfolds on the screen in real time through thousands of film excerpts that form a 24-hour montage. Appropriated from the last 100 years of cinema's rich history, the film clips chronicle the hours and minutes of the 24-hour period, often by displaying a watch or clock. From the legendary to the obscure, The Clock incorporates scenes of car chases, board rooms, emergency wards, bank heists, trysts, high noon shootouts, detective dramas, or silent comedies.
