Danny Johnson and Demetria McKinney to Lead True Colors' THE MOUNTAINTOP

Kenny Leon and True Colors Theatre Company have announced the regional premiere of the Broadway hit The Mountaintop by Katori Hall directed by Jasmine Guy. This gripping re-imagining of the events the night before the assassination of DR. Martin Luther King, Jr will star Danny Johnson (What I Learned in Paris) as Dr. King, and Demetria McKinney (Tyler Perry's House of Payne) as Camae. The gripping re-imagining of events the night before the assassination of civil rights leader DR. Martin Luther King, JR. After delivering one of his most memorable speeches, an exhausted Dr. King retires to his room at the Lorraine Motel while a storm rages outside. When a mysterious stranger arrives with some surprising news, King is forced to confront his destiny and his legacy to his people.
