The new release features one of the final recordings by guitar legend Bernie Torme, best known for his work with the Ian Gillan Band and Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away this year. The song is a bonus preview track from the upcoming National Wrecking Company II release “Overture/Mechanized Confusion.”

Showtime Documentary Films to Premiere MURDER IN THE BAYOU This September

Showtime Documentary Films announced it will premiere the network's first true crime docu-series,MURDER IN THE BAYOU, on Friday, September 13 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, from director Matthew Galkin (Kevorkian) and author Ethan Brown, whose New York Times Best Selling book Murder In The Bayou is the inspiration for the series. The five-part docu-series investigates the unsolved murders of eight women whose bodies were discovered between 2005 and 2009 in drainage canals and on desolate back roads in and around the town of Jennings, Louisiana in rural Jefferson Davis Parish. The announcement was made today by Gary Levine and Jana Winograde, Presidents of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc., at the Television Critics Association's Summer Press Tour.

Premium network EPIX released a new teaser trailer for the highly anticipated new series, GODFATHER OF HARLEM. The 10-episode, hour-long drama series is inspired by the story of infamous crime boss Bumpy Johnson (Forest Whitaker), who in the early 1960s returned from ten years in prison to find the neighborhood he once ruled in shambles. With the streets controlled by the Italian mob, Bumpy must take on the Genovese crime family to regain control. During the brutal battle, he forms an alliance with radical preacher Malcolm X (Nigél Thatch) – catching Malcolm's political rise in the crosshairs of social upheaval and a mob war that threatens to tear the city apart. GODFATHER OF HARLEM is a collision of the criminal underworld and the civil rights movement during one of the most tumultuous times in American history.

Today, Showtime Documentary Films announced that the new docu-series COUPLES THERAPY from DGA®Award nominated and Sundance Award winning filmmakers Josh Kriegman, Elyse Steinberg, and Eli Despres – the team behind the acclaimed SHOWTIME documentary WEINER – will premiere on Friday, September 6 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. The announcement was made today by Gary Levine and Jana Winograde, Presidents of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc., at the Television Critics Association's Summer Press Tour. While new episodes of COUPLES THERAPY will be released on SHOWTIME linear channels weekly, all nine will be available immediately on September 6 for on-demand streaming, via the SHOWTIME and SHOWTIME ANYTIME apps and partnering on-demand platforms.

NBC News' TODAY was the number-one morning show last week and for the July sweep topping “Good Morning America” in the key demo A25-54. TODAY has now won the key demo for 188 consecutive weeks, its best streak in nearly seven years. No other morning news show has been number-one in the demo for as long a streak. TODAY has also won 17 straight sweeps in the demo. Additionally, TODAY won in total viewers last Monday and Friday.
