REVOLT TV unveiled details about its Black History Month Excellence (#BHMX) initiative today, featuring its largest offering yet of network premieres, including the return of fan-favorite talk show State of the Culture; new seasons of stand-up showcase Funny AF, short film anthology Short & Fresh, and behind-the-scenes spin-off Breakfast Club Extra; and new episodes of popular morning mainstay The Breakfast Club, REVOLT Summit Presents, Director's Reel, and more. All shows tie into the #BHMX theme of celebrating “Black Excellence” in all fields and forms.

REAL SPORTS WITH BRYANT GUMBEL, which will mark its 25th anniversary in April, returns for an all-new season of enterprise reporting when the program's 274th edition debuts TUESDAY, JAN. 28 at 10 p.m. ET (9 p.m. CT), exclusively on HBO. 

NBC's four-time Emmy Award-nominated series “American Ninja Warrior” will be returning this summer to NBC for its ninth season. Production will begin in the spring with a premiere date announced shortly.

Marvel TV and HULU unveiled casting today for “Marvel's M.O.D.O.K.,” their previously announced animated series based on the popular Marvel comic book. Slated for debut in 2020, “Marvel's M.O.D.O.K.” signals Marvel's first endeavor into animated comedy geared towards adults.

Why do so many communities across America have stories of unexplained paranormal experiences that, through word-of-mouth and consistency, turn into lore? In the new Travel Channel series, “Haunting in the Heartland,” premiering on Friday, February 21 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, paranormal investigator and documentary filmmaker Steve Shippy visits Midwestern towns that have been traumatized for generations by ripples of fear. Growing up in a rural Michigan “creepy house on the corner,” Shippy uses his own personal experiences to make intimate connections with the families who've reached out to him for help. The Design Network (TDN), the fastest growing streaming network for all things home, has announced the premiere of Celebrity House Sitting, a new series from Crazy Legs Productions. The unscripted show will premiere on Friday, January 24 for a 10 episode run.

Multi-platinum, chart-topping rock band, Nickelback is set to hit the road this summer, bringing some of their biggest hits to venues across North America on the band's 2020 headlining tour. Actor Mo McRae (Wild, Den of Thieves) will make his directorial debut at the helm of the upcoming darkly comedic thriller A LOT OF NOTHING. Producers include Inny Clemons, McRae, who co-wrote the screenplay with Sarah Kelly Kaplan, Anonymous Content, Mansa Productions founder Kellon Akeem and Jason Tamasco on behalf of Bad Idea. Golden Globe-nominated actor David Oyelowo will serve as an executive producer for the project along with Mansa Production's Yandy Smith, Kim Hodgert and Nina Soriano on behalf of Anonymous Content as well as Zak Kristofek for Bad Idea and Ethan Lazar. Leslie Woo is currently casting the project, which is set to begin shooting principal photography this spring.

Netflix has acquired all rights to Bradley Cooper's untitled Leonard Bernstein film, according to Deadline.  Cooper will direct, star in and produce the film from the script he co-wrote with Josh Singer. Cooper has been working closely with Bernstein's children, Jamie, Alexander and Nina, for the past two years on the film.

Smoke Fairies release a new single today 'Chew Your Bones.' The track is taken from their forthcoming album Darkness Brings The Wonders Home set for release next Friday, January 31st. The set is the sixth studio LP from the band and was recorded in Seattle and produced by Phil Ek.

BMI (Broadcast Music Inc.) and The Estate of Michael Jackson announced today that they have inked a renewal agreement for BMI to continue to represent the performing rights in Michael Jackson's songwriting catalog. This new deal continues an uninterrupted 41-year long relationship between the King of Pop and the performance rights organization which began in 1979 when Michael Jackson first signed with BMI. The Estate and BMI last renewed the deal in 2014.
