The first single from Colin Jones' upcoming EP Mama Don't Weep, 'How Long' is about being your own worst enemy. 'It's about never being able to get it right and the spiral that can put you in,' Colin explains, 'It's an old song that used to be a folk ballad. The production was an idea I had in the studio back in 2016, and it became this acid-tinged noir soundtrack.'

The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus are kicking off 2020 with the release of their first original new music since 2018, a nod to their emo roots called “A Long Time Ago In A Galaxy Called LA.” . The track will be available on all major streaming services on Friday, Jan. 31st and is the first song off their forthcoming The Emergency EP, to be released later this year.  The band has also announced a spring headlining tour, and several dates in Australia with Boys Like Girls (see below).

The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) and CBC today announced the first wave of artists set to perform at The 2020 JUNO Awards Broadcast alongside host Alessia Cara and Canadian Music Hall of Fame inductee Jann Arden. R&B artist Daniel Caesar, rock band The Glorious Sons, rising pop singer Lennon Stella and hip hop powerhouse Tory Lanez will take the stage for Canada's biggest night in music. The 49th annual JUNO Awards will be broadcast live from the SaskTel Centre, Saskatoon, SK on Sunday, March 15 at 8 p.m. ET (6 p.m. CDT) across the country on CBC, CBC Gem, CBC Radio One, CBC Music, and the CBC Listen app. The awards will also be available for audiences outside of Canada to stream at cbcmusic.ca/junos.

The Nine Seas, Fiona McBain (Ollabelle, The Big Bright, Then There Were Two) and Liz Tormes (solo artist, The Big Bright), will release their debut album, Dream of Me, on April 3, 2020. Dream of Me, a collection of 12 tracks featuring two spellbinding voices telling dark-hued stories, was co-produced by McBain and Tormes with southern American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Jim White. Since the SS Cotopaxi disappeared in 1925, it has become one of the most famous stories associated with the mystery of the Bermuda Triangle. On November 29, 1925 the steam powered bulk carrier set off on a standard trip from Charleston, South Carolina to Havana, Cuba. No one knows where or how it vanished and none of bodies of the 32 passengers on board were ever recovered. It is one of the triangle's biggest secrets and even popped up at the end of Steven Spielberg's blockbuster, Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
