Apple Music today announced world-renowned producer, platinum-selling recording artist, social media titan, modern-day music mogul, and Asahd's Dad, DJ Khaled as its first artist in residence. Working closely with the Apple Music team, DJ Khaled will create and executive produce stand alone special editions of some of Apple Music's most successful and beloved playlists. To officially kick things off, DJ Khaled today unveiled Office DJ Khaled, his own version of Apple Music's popular Office DJ playlist. The new playlist is uptempo, easygoing and most of all fun and features everyone from Lauryn Hill, Drake, Sam Cooke, Snoop and of course, DJ Khaled to name a few.

Moana star Auli'i Cravalho is set to star in Netflix's feature drama Sorta Like A Rock Star', according to Deadline. The film will be directed by Brett Haley.

Since the release of their sophomore LP The Kicking Mule last year, Austin, TX industrial punk duo Street Sects have stayed consistently busy; be it touring the world with Daughters, Uniform, Author & Punisher, Lingua Ignota, 3Teeth, Dälek and more, playing high profile festivals such as Roadburn (NL), and penning the next EP in their serialGentrification series (Gentrification III: Death and Displacement, out August 2nd on The Flenser).  Now, the band has announced a two-week tour in Europe this October and have unveiled and a brand new remix (by Mike Mare/Dälek) of The Kicking Mule single “Suicide By Cop.”

TV Land is picking up the critically-acclaimed, Darren Star hit series Younger for a seventh season, it was announced today by Keith Cox, President, Development and Production, Paramount Network and TV Land. The news comes in the middle of its record-breaking sixth season, currently airing Wednesdays at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT. 

Zanne Devine, executive producer of the upcoming Disney+ movie 'Secret Society of Second Born Royals,' which recently wrapped principal photography, and the Disney Channel Original Movie 'Kim Possible,' has entered into an overall deal with Disney Channels Worldwide, the network announced today. Through this deal, Devine will develop and produce movies for Disney Channel and the upcoming Disney+ streaming service.

Returning for its fifth year, Emerging Music Festival (EMF) features eight on-the-rise indie rock, folk, singer-songwriter, and soul bands performing for thousands on the Bryant Park lawn.
